I'm not much of a beer drinker, but right now I'm drinking Peche Lambic from Lindemans. It's a sweet type of beer, but different from a wine cooler. It's better in my opinion. I like dessert wines and champagnes. Can you name some of your favorites.

I agree on the Lambic. I like Raspberry. Unfortunately it is very filling and bloaty just like beer.

As for dessert wines I go with sauternes or Quarts d' Chaume.

Vueve Cliquot's La Grande Dame or a nice '96 Krug for champagne.

Beer: Do not like

White Wine: Caymus Conundrum ($25), Pride Viognair($45), La Sirena Muscato Azule ($35) - all have something in commong - floral, complex, slight sweetness, and definitely not dry

Red Wine: Pride Cabernet ($55), Revana Cabernet ($105), Caymus Special Selection ($135), Joseph Phelps Insignia ($150) - all are also similar in that they are in-you-face-strong and flavoraful cabernet that goes well with red meat, especially game meats

Dessert wine: Inneskilling Ice Wine ($60), Pride Mistelle de Viognair ($50), Robert Mondavi Botrytis ($35), Topaz Dessert wine ($35) - all are very sweet but with lots of fruit flavor and wonderful fruit/floral aroma

Champagne: Frank Family Champagne (Blanc de Noir $45 or Pink $45), Moet and Chandon Dom Perignon ($150), Schramberg White ($50), Taittinger Brut ($55), and Moet and Chandon Imperial Nectal ($45 - sweet!) - nothing in common there, just depending on the mood

Fave beer: depends on what I'm eating, but Asahi is a good standby that goes with most meals

Fave dessert wine: Gentleman's Port from Rodney Strong Winery, or there is a really good port from Everett Ridge Winery.

Fave champagne: I go for the sparkling wines from Sonoma/Napa (not technically "champagnes" since they're not from France). J Winery makes a great sparkling wine.

Beer = Guinness (the only REAL beer)

Wine = Prefer a full bodied red, a Chianti. My favorite is Carlo Rossi's Paisano

Champaigne = Don't really have a favorite but it's hard to go wrong with Bollinger

Best flavoured beer is Monteiths RADLER, a lager with citrus, mainly lime infused into it. An awesome "hot day" beer. Or a super chilled bottle of Montana Lindauer blanc de blanc sparkling. As close to champagne as you could possibly get. ENJOY
