I want to be cremated, and it doesn't "disturb" me. We don't have much land on the planet to be wasting with graveyards. I would be worm food anyway.

Oaky here is what I believe about cremation (since you asked!). First of all, I know there are some christians who believe if you get cremated, you cannot come back when Christ returns to the earth. Okay, do you really believe that when Christ comes back you are going to come back in the same body? Uh, I don't think so! I mean really, if you are newly dead, maybe, but what about peeps who have been gone for like the last 2000 years, but who are still worthy, how will they come back in those bodies that are now uh...dust??? So I'm thinking that cremation is NOT going to be an issue when you "come back" when Christ calls. Do I agree with it? Yes, I do. That's mainly because at some point we are gonna run outta places to bury the bodies if you know what I mean! So if we cremate the remains, it takes up a much smaller space and leaves room for more peeps to go in the same way. I'm not disturbed by it because I won't be using this body anymore when I'm dead, so why not let it go back to ashes to ashes, literally? It says in the bible that when the time comes and we are called back, we will know each other, but not in the same way we know each other now, and that kinda makes me think we will know each other in a spiritual way when we see each other again. Well, that's my view!

In the Bible cremation is portrayed only as an exceptional method of disposing of bodies. Most often cremation took place in the midst of unusual circumstances. For example, in 1 Samuel 31:12 we read about the men of Jabesh-Gilead who burned the corpses of Saul and his sons in order to prevent desecration of their bodies at the hands of the philistines.
We don't find cremation mentioned in the New Testament. Burial is the normal method. Moreover, the church fathers preferred "the ancient and better custom of burying in the earth."
However, there is no actual prohibition against cremation in the pages of Scripture. And if a Christian does get cremated, this poses no problem for God in resurrecting that person's body from the dead (1Cor 15:42-44).
We read in 2 Cor 5:1, "Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." It does not matter how our "earthly tent" (body) is destroyed; all that matters is that God will raise it from the dead. Even those who are buiried eventually dissolve into dust and bones. So regardless of whether we're buried or cremated, we can all look forward to a permanent resurrection body that will never be subject to death and decay.

If you believe in Yahshua, the resurrection, and the Torah, you will not be cremated. Remember, the SECOND DEATH is that of FIRE, being totally burned up. You will find in Torah(Leviticus 20:14, for example)that those that commit an abomination were killed AND their bodies burned. Why? It's all because of the resurrection.
A great fire is coming, to burn up the wickedness of this world(Isa. 30:26, 2Peter 3:10). Those that have been cremated will not return in the resurrection.

I don't really have a religious view on cremation. It is just a faster way of breaking down the body into its elements.

I think it's the way to go, because even though land space and resources are basically unlimited and we barely need to recycle anything, it wouldn't hurt to save some space. I hope to be cremated, but not kept in an urn (they always mix several people at a time in crematoriums, anyway).

There's nothing wrong with cremation. The bible doesn't say one way or the other. I think it would be better if everyone were cremated instead of being buried. We're running out of burial room and it's a lot safer when you consider all the diseases. Disease wise, look what happened with Katrina.

I considered cremation because it costs less than burial, but I am now looking into the green cemeteries. Cardboard box and reuse the plot in 7 - 8 years.

I want to be cremated when I die. No it doesn't disturb me. I think it's perfectly fine. Think about it like this would you rather be buried in the ground with worms and all sorts of animals or just be burned to a crisp and have nothing crawling on your body?
I don't mean anything bad. I'm just saying I would rather be cremated then buried with worms.

It doesn't bother me and I don't think it's a sin. My cousin died a couple of months ago and he HAD to be cremated becauase my aunt and uncle are too poor to afford a burial. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. The spirit is what moves on anyways, to Heaven or Hell.

I think cremation is a good idea . if your cremated you don't take up space in this earth, you only occupy a little urn .. if your ashes are scattered you have returned to the earth as ashes to fertilize something to grow later....
