Any church or any faith will tell you it is wrong. You can always go to the Pastor, Father, Priest, whomever and ask for money if you need it.
But this is stealing!

I would think its wrong, because people are giving it to the church. If you were in need of money for yourself for selfish reasons it was wrong, but if you needed it like for food, then you should trust in your church and ask for help.
