Videographer, makeup artist, production assistant...there are a lot of positions

You would want to go to school for broadcasting, or photography/videography...there are a ton of schools that have degree programs that center around those things. You will need to pick what you want to do before you can pick a major...

Acting. John Krasinski of The Office was an intern on Conan's show. Or any theater training - sets, costumes, etc.

I'd say communications, with an emphasis on TV production.

If you live in NYC or can get there, get a job as a page at NBC Studios. That's the "entry level" job there, and you have to spend about six months before you can move on to other jobs.
