Absolutely without a doubt. Unless we step up and take back our government, we are facing some perillous times ahead. Gods people really need to humble themselves and seek Gods face!Ever since the court ruling in 1947 to establish a wall of separation of church and state ( not in our Constitution, by the way) we have been steadily losing our religious freedoms, at least as Christians anyway. These are only some examples of court rulings handed down since that awful day...

It is unconstitutional for a war memorial to be erected in the shape of a cross.1969

A verbal prayer offered in a school, even if that prayer is both voluntary and denomination ally neutral. 1971

It is unconstitutional for a kindergarten class to ask whos birthday is celebrated on Christmas.1979

It is unconstitutional for a public cemetary to have a planter in the shape of a cross, for if someone were to view the cross, it could cause "emotional distress" and thus constitute an "injury in-fact"1990

It is unconstitutional for a classroom library to contain books which deal with Christianity, or for a teacher to be seen with a personal copy of the Bible at school.1990

Freedoms of speech and press are guaranteed to students and teachers unless the topic is religious, at which time such speech becomes unconstitutional.1991

The Ten Commandments, despite the fact that they are the basis of our civil law and are depicted in engraved stone in the U.S. Supreme Court, may not be displayed in a public courthouse. 1993

Artwork may not be displayed in schools if it depicts something religious-even if that artwork is considered an historical classic.1993

Persecution is a powerful word...while Americans have not yet had to face jail, or death for believing, it may be coming.

I can see the riducule increasing, our voices are not being heard by the politicians, media and schools. It certainly seems as though there is an increasing effort to squash us down and silence us.

But we have yet to see true persecution.

I hear about this persecution of christians but what I see is an increase in persecution of non-christians. It seems civil and equal rights have gone backwards fifty years under the current administration, and that if you aren't a white, war supporting, flag waving, ribbons-on-your car christian you're equal to a terrorist in todays environment.

*By the way I was accused of christian persecution because some stoned looking 'born again' guy wandered into the health food store while I was there to 'save' people, and because I declined and asked him to keep his beliefs away from my children, mr. 'jesus loves you' suddenly decided he was 'persecuted' if he couldn't convert my kids. So no they aren't persecuted. No no no. But they sure are one step away from persecution themselves.

No I think being persecuted for being anything other than Christian is picking up in America.

No, not really. I do think more people are starting to question Christianity and why Christians think they have the right to impose their beliefs on the rest of us, but that isn't persecution. It seems that the ones doing the persecuting are the Christians.

That's absurd. Christianity is by far the dominant religion in the USA, who would be 'persecuting' Christians? The White House is still dancing with the right-wing fundamentalists, every church in all 50 states seems to be raking in the cash (except black churches that white bigots in the South burned down), and references to the Christian god appear on coins, the Pledge of Allegiance, in courts, in legislative bodies, county commissions, and city councils. As I said, the question is absurd. The answer is No.

Yes, we were just talking about it in Sunday school this morning. I don't care if anyone believes it or not. The persecution is not IN YOUR FACE. It is more subtle than that.

Yes and we have not seen anything yet. It will get worse. We are fortunate not to have to go through what some Christians experience. A couple of ladies were in jail for 2 years in another country for teaching about Jesus in Sunday School at Church!

Persecution because of ones belief is just stupid, but if you have to persecute, you can persecute these NUTS! >>> http://www.thenutfactory.com/photos/mixtures-nuts-regular-rs.jpg

There's a difference between persecution and ridicule. Christians in America have it quite easy compared to those in the Middle East, Africa or China. I think many American Christians need to get backbone.
