What exactly is the point to wearing that weird look long john shorts. They look really weird and uncomfortable. Is it true that you wear them to restrict yourselves from masturbation and sex that is not for reproductive purposes.

Umm.. it isn't really uncomfortable, and it isn't to keep us from doing what you said. It is to show respect and commitment to our promises we made with the lord.

They may look weird to someone who doesn't understand what the meaning behind them is.

On the other hand, they are my underwear, and I'm not asking what yours look like!!!Oh.. just for reference, they aren't like long johns, at least most aren't. You can get long ones, but the normal ones- that most of us wear- are about as long as boxers, and fit about the same.

One more thing, we do have sex for something other then procreation. I am married after all, and what is married life without a normal, happy sex life??

I'm not a Mormon, but it does appear to be inappropriate to ask someone about their underwear. I would not expect to receive an answer to that kind of question. One of the purposes does seem to be to promote chastity.

I regret to tell you, but the underwear topic is none of your business. If you are really curious then you can begin by taking the missionary lessons, get baptized in the Church, and wait about a year before you can go to the temple.

But with the attitude that you project in your narrative I doubt you'll get to the missionary level.

What are you doing looking at their underwear in the first place?

Can't speak for the Mormons, but I was stunned when I heard this.
