well, i cannot get the pictures for my camera to appear after going to my computer and clicking on my camera icon and there is nothing there.
by the way:
i know that there are pictures on the camera
i know that the camera is connected
it did this before but i forgot how to fix it.

by the way its an HP photosmart M525

I assume your camera icon is the computers way of showing you the "USB drive" (all USB connected memory looks like a drive to the computer).

When you click on the icon it should open the "drive" up in a windows explorer window. If it doesn't, then you have an intervening program which I have no clue about.

Alternately, open windows explorer and find the drive and click on it. It would be drive E: if you have only one hard drive and one CD/DVD drive.

Click on that and drill down thru the folders till you find picture files. You can view them from there or drag and drop them to your hard drive so you can erase them from your camera.

You can easily open windows explorer by right clicking the start button and click on "Explore".

Are you clicking on the removable drive in My Computer? You may have a camera icon but it doesn't point to your camera. Click on any removable drives that are in My Computer.
