I don't think it's immoral. Just against the law.

The use of marijuana is "immoral" because it is illegal.
Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
As to it making you more "spiritual" that's a deception of the Devil. In the NT the Bible warns against Sorcery.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery (pharmakeía), enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
pharmakeía - a drug, which in the Gr. writers is used both for a curative or medicinal drug, and also as a poisonous one. Pharmakeía means the occult, sorcery, witchcraft, illicit pharmaceuticals, trance, magical incantation with drugs
While a person might use marijuana for a medical condition or they might even smoke it for relaxation in a country where it is legal, if a person is using the drug to become more "spiritual" then they are treading dangerously close to the practice of opening up their minds to contact with the unholy spirits of Satan which is where the term sorcery comes from.

Dear Shawn
I have witnessed the use of marijuana by Hindu Sadhus as well as some Muslim Fakirs. Upon asking them they said it provides them, help them in getting more concentration on their prayers and towards God.
But this practice is refuted by the Spiritual Master Saints, as they say it is a misguidance from Satan and they achieve nothing out of it, other than wasting their time of their life as they get addicted to it. Hence Marijuana is immoral.
The best way to become spiritual is through Piety, Self sacrifice and Love towards God.

I love pot questions!!!(I've been drug free 5years now yeah!!)It doesn't make you immoral.
I was raised with it done it since I was 12 or so, I had my little Bible verses that backed up the reason it was "okay" with God well until I came across Romans-we are suppose to follow man's law as long as its moral and from then on I haven't touched it esp. when I started getting paranoid which that was weird never made me that way before. But I really think it should be legal to adults who wants to come home from work and relax that way. Children-NO!,Because of school and concentration issues and such.

I don't recall pot ever making me feel more spiritual (did they add something new to it in the last 15 yrs?) and the only time something like that is immoral is when you put it before everything else and make it your only priority.

Just like any other mind altering substance, it should be used in moderation and under safe, controlled conditions (not while driving, etc) but I agree with you that marijuana can help you get in touch with your spiritual side and is, in general, an excellent way to relax. I see nothing immoral about it, seeing as alcohol and tobacco are legal.

Gen 1:29: And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Its wrong for us to break the law. But God put everything here for a purpose.

Never heard it was immoral. It's illegal.......BUT
It has helped a lot of cancer patients endure the treatments, so I am all for it in that case.
I've also heard it increases your appetite,so some people get sort of chunky.
