No it is not normal. She is going to become very dehydrated quickly, which can be life threatening. At least let the vet treat her symptoms with fluids and anti-vomit medications if you can't afford labwork and x-rays. Unspayed females can get serious uterine infections, called pyometra, and one of the first signs is vomiting and lethargy.

That you may certainly not be too certain about partial blockages specially in the event that they consume sometihing like an old sock or dead mole etc. Drawback is partical blockagaes can go flawed very swiftly with devastating results. They typically retch 3 or four occasions earlier than vomiting (it's like a pump constructing up pressure first.) whether it is food excellent triggered vomiting then withhold meals for twenty-four hours after which go onto cooked rice and a little boiled fowl for a few days. If the canine isn't consuming so much, syringe in some Pedialyte or if you happen to would not have that then a bit of Gatorade. It would be worms or micro organism inflicting it but you have to do away with one possible motive at a time. See your vet right away if there may be ache (dog stands awkwardkly and tremors), the gums are light or there may be blood within the vomit. If attempts to vomit fail. If bloating comes on. If the canine would have eaten some thing toxic. If the canine is not consuming and passing urine of a healthful yellow color.

No, vomiting like that is not normal. Yes, she could get dehydrated or her electrolyte (sodium, potassium) balance could get so out of whack that she dies. Of course all responsible vets are going to recommend at least labwork for this and probably x rays, too, since her symptoms could possibly be from swallowing a foreign object that is stuck in her digestive tract. If you don't stop the vomiting the dog will probably die. If the dog has an intestinal blockage that goes untreated the dog will die.
Most vets would allow payment arrangements in situations like this. Try another vet. Use a credit card. Borrow the money from a friend or relative. Pets cost money, that is the way it is, and veterinary care is expensive.

Well, i don't really know whats wrong with your dog, but I have a suggestion to how you could pay for the vet bills. I do this sometimes when i'm in a bind.
Take the dog to the vet and have the test done and pay with a check or two and date them for when you get paid. So your paying the vet, but kind of on your terms of affordablity. A lot of vets do that for people.
Yes it is like a "payment plan", but the places that do this for me DON'T have a "payment plan", so i guess they don't see it like it is a "payment plan". Weird huh?
But they have to get paid for their sevices somehow. Not everybodys made of money or has Awesome credit. lol! Hope it helps.
BTW.... it's not normal to throw up so much. Maybe it's stress?

It is soooo not normal for your dog to throw up 10 times a day.
Females do NOT get depressed when they come into heat and don't get bred.
Hiding in her crate and throwing up.. Suggest that she isn't feeling well for some reason..
I would say, save your money with this vet, and find a vet that is actually concerned about your pet rather than trying to blow you off cause he has no idea what's wrong. Talk to friends, or people you work with, and get someone to recommend a vet that they go to and find honest and one that actually does his job. SPend your money there.. Throwing up 10 times a day is just not right.. I would suspect it likely the dog food you are feeding more than anything.. Hiding in the crate? Don't know.. But I would get her checked out by a vet who knows his stuff, don't waste your money with a guy who isn't concerned about finding the answers.

It is NOT normal for dogs to vomit 10 times a day, and vomiting has nothing to do with a heat. (Is your dog vaccinated? She may have Parvo.)
But don't panic just yet. To help your dog, stop feeding her for 24 hours. This will give her stomach a chance to calm down. Let her have as much water (and Pedialyte if you can afford it) as she wants to make sure she stays hydrated.
You can also give her a child's dose of Kaopectate to help calm her stomach. (Don't be surprised if it turns her stools very dark.)
After the 24 hours fast is up, feed her a bland diet of boiled hamburger and white rice. This will fill her up, but be easy on her tummy.
Keep her on the bland diet for about a week, and then slowly start rotating her normal dog food into the mix until she's back on her regular food.
If the vomitting persists, you need to get her to a vet. She may have a serious problem. You need to take the dog to a COMPETENT vet.

Wow, it sounds like a very sick puppy to me. Is there another vet you can go to? Some of them let you make payments. If she is throwing up, she will become dehydrated. She needs to be treated for the symptoms at least.
I hope everything works out. I could never be a vet because you have to refuse to treat sick animals if there is no money. I hate that!!
hugs to you

I had a dog that started vomiting like that right after we got him. He had lived in 2 other homes within a few months of me taking him in and our vet said it was from stress and depression. His blood sugar was low because he hadn't been eating and that's why he was vomiting. Make sure your dog is eating and drinking.

You could contact your local RSPCA if you can't afford treatments. They can sometimes help with payments! And it doesn't hurt to ask.
And sorry to hear about your pooch! :/ Hope she's okay soon. One other thing, You should get her fixed...We don't need anymore unwanted puppies in the world.
