I have people occasionally tell me they hate me because I'm smart. I tell them they care to much and to not bother.

Too much care turns to hate as too much love turns to lust.

Will humans ever figure out it's the hater that suffers and not the hated, first thing I do to someone I dislike is make them hate me then the rest takes care of itself.

Mike The Troll: Doesn't envy and jealousy show that a person cares about something too much, which then turns to hate.

I just wish people wouldn't hate each other. I sometimes think I love my boyfriend too much but I know it's not lust, I just love the kind of person he is, not just the physical things about him, though, those are nice too. And I (regret to say) hate his ex girlfriend because she always treated me like a dog.

Your premise is faulty. Love is not the prerequisite for lust. Love is wanting the very best for another person. Lust is a passion for sex. Care may be the prerequisite for hate but not all caring leads to hatred.

Caring is the wrong one...envy is the prelude to hate. the rest of it you have right...

Care and concern do not precipitate hate...envy and jealousy do...
