As has already been mentioned, Spot would be great. :) Or you could go with Data instead for a twist.
There were a few other cats on Star Trek as well...
Barclay owned a cat named Neelix (after the Neelix who was a member of Voyager)
O'Brien had a cat named Chester on DS9.

Spock got all horney and had to go back to Vulcan for some sort of marriage ritual in the episode Amok Time.
You may remember the old lady in that episode. She was sort of like a high priestess called T-pau
The name was also used by a rock group from Germany
ps. Data called his cat Spot.

If you're a real Trekkie you might remember a show called "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" where there were two aliens white on one side and black on the other played by Lou Antonio and Frank Gorshin, the names were Bele and Loki.
