The worms take all the nutrition and such from the foods your dog eats. Eventually the dog becomes malnourished, and starves, if the worms aren't treated.

Unless you're talking heartworm, which seriously screws up your dog's heart and lungs, an kills it that way.

They cause anemia and the puppy dies. Hook worms kill young puppies if they have a large concentration faster than the other types of worms.

I didn't mention heartworms. They don't actually kill puppies, but they will kill an adult dog. Heartworms take a while to grow and become concentrated enough to destroy the heart muscle. Usually dogs over two are at more of a risk of severe problems from heartworms.

Yes!!! Roundworms and hookworm in particular. Get the dog wormed ASAP. It would not rate lots. Under no circumstances take residence a puppy that is not wormed both. If the man or woman you acquired it from didn't even care sufficient to get the pups wormed, they did not take excellent care of them at all!!!!! Any individual who let you know they are not is a an idiot!!!!!!! Appear up Cutaneous Larvel Migrans on the laptop. It's when hookworms infect a person. They get beneath your epidermis and migrate around!!!! It is lovely gross!!!!!!! Call a vet and they can let you know also!!

In the day when I was growing up ... we would give chewing tobacco for worms...just in small amounts to help. I am not sure about it killing your pet, but I do know our pets always had worms...sometimes badly and other time lesser. I know it is cheap enough to treat them for round worms with over the counter meds. Tape worms are more expensive to get rid of, but you can still buy the meds over the counter. Whip worms and pin worms can only be treated by your vet.

Hookworms pierce the intestinal tract and cause bleeding where they bite. Enough of them can cause so much blood loss the dog dies from shock. Whipworms can cause a bloody, mucusy stool which can lead to dehydration. Coccidia, another parasite, can also cause severe diarrhea.

heartworms can block blood vessels and chambers of the heart, making the dog tire easily and sometimes can be fatal. Unfortunately, the cure for heartworms is sometimes fatal too. Best to prevent them alltogether.

Take your puppies to the vet. They could tell you and could treat them.

Yes if not treated. If you suspect they have worms you need to go see your vet or get a deworm product at Walmart. etc.
