Don't you agree that global warming is a real problem? Human beings are ignorant when it comes to making changes in our lives. Don't mean to be pesimistic but we all are going to die if we don't start taking Global Warning seriously. Everyone is concerned about how to buy a bigger house, what to wear to the party, how to meet someone special... all these are real problems for us right now but the fact that there is a possibility that our children will not have a chance to grow up and grow old is not a problem because it is 50 years away! It's just upsetting! Is there anyone who feels the same way I do???

No, I do not feel the same way you do.

Global warming is not the threat that so many have made it out to be.

Politicians have turned it into a political machine, and have used it as a scare tactict to drum up support for their political party.

Not all scientists are in agreement on this issue.

I agree, we all need to do our part to keep our planet clean and safe, but trust me, we're still going to be here for a while.

Since the dawn of time people have been trying to predict the future. So far no one has ever been successful. Global warming is a made up problem.

If global warming were real, there would be a bigger push to get more nuclear power plants up and running, since over 1/2 of all CO2 comes from generating power.

If someone wondered about the date, Dec. 22, 2012, it's a part of an ancient Mayan calender, the Dresden Codex. They believed that the Earth would reach some kind of synchronization with the universe by Dec. 22, 2012. One Mayan prophecy is that the current Age of Materialism will end on this date.

Laid_back_dude 23:
"Even though climate is chaotic, with weather states impossible to predict in detail more than a few days ahead, there is a predictable impact of anthropogenic forcing on the probability of occurrence of the naturally-occurring climatic regimes.

In our chaotic climate, it is impossible (indeed meaningless) to try to attribute a specific (eg severe) weather event to anthropogenic global warming. Hence, it is a false dichotomy to suppose that some recently-occurring drought or flood is either on the one hand caused by global warming, or on the other hand is merely due to natural climate variability.

Rather, the correct way to address such an issue is to ask instead whether anthropogenic climate change will increase or decrease the probability of occurrence of the type of drought or flood which we (or journalists pursuing some weather story provoked by a recent drought or flood) are interested. Such probabilities can be obtained, for example, from the JSC/CLIVAR Working Group on Climate Modelling's multi-model ensemble, made for the IPCC fourth assessment report.

In a chaotic climate, one cannot expect the time-series of global temperature to increase monotonically under the impact of anthropogenic climate change. Hence, for example, global mean temperatures were especially warm in 1998 because of the occurrence of a substantial El-Niño event. By the bullet above, it is meaningless to attribute the 1998 El-Niño event to global warming. Only by looking over long enough periods of time can one see the trend in global mean temperature due to anthropogenic climate change, above the "noise" of climatic variability."

Maybe the best climate for the earth, is not the best climate for mankind. In the 1970's science was talking about global cooling. The earth is billions of years old, we have no way of telling what the average climate should be. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Global warming is not going to make all people die. Car accidents will cause more deaths than global warming this year, and next year, and every year for hundreds of years, as long as we have cars. Global warming is just not a deadly problem. It just isn't! It may cost us a lot of money, but it will not kill people. Global warming is here now. It will still be here in 50 years. Maybe a little worse, but I bet you won't even notice the difference.

Global warming is a real problem and could affect us all greatly and in not so nice a way either.
But global warming is NOT the only item to worry about.
There is an asteroid that will pass between the earth & moon in 2027-go around the sun & then return in our direction-that is a fact.
There is also Dec.22, 2012, that has had people, for a few thousand years, all upset too. Check that date out on the web & the history channel.
Will any of this happen & if so what effect(s) will it have on the human race? No one can really answer those questions at this time-just educated guesses at this point.
Try not to loose any sleep over all this, just enjoy your life & your children now. Tomorrow will bring what it must and we all will deal with it together.

Our children face a far more real and dangerous threat from Global Jihadism. Your child is far more likely to die from an attack by an Islamic Jihadist than any alleged effects of Global Warming.... *NO ONE* can say with any certitude if the effects (if any) of a Global Climate Change will be beneficial or harmful in the long run....

My 12 twelve months old son got here to me at 2.5. His difficulty became a lot like this little boy's you're describing. My son became problematical for the 1st 6 months yet then settled in somewhat good. The biting and worst of the behaviors have been long previous after approximately 4 months. It purely took love, persistence, and guidance. those are actually not undesirable little ones, purely untrained ones. So besides, you may prepare the actual component of issues somewhat good assuming he's of standard intelligence. i'd advise waiting 6 months before sending him to college. as some distance because of the fact the emotional component, properly, this is a distinctive tale. My son had nightmares for a looooong time. He suffers from RAD yet do not enable that scare you off. probability is, this newborn already has RAD. If the area is somewhat what you defined, he does not have had time to variety any authentic attachments. RAD is obtainable in all distinctive degree's. My son's manifests in controlling and defiant habit. he's in scientific care and we artwork with him. His won't be that undesirable. he's loving and does properly in school yet he isn't bonded to me or his brother and sister. purely because of the fact a newborn can not bond with you does not advise you may not make an excellent distinction in his existence. This boy would be secure, get an guidance, get in better well-being. and so on. i've got faith so unhappy for my son and sweetness how he is going to instruction manual a classic existence with a spouse and little ones. yet, what else are you able to do? i like him very a lot and does not commerce him for something. His parents have been the two clinically determined with phycoclimatic affliction. (sp?) i assume its a mixture of bipolar and schizo. My son has no data of the two of those yet i are conscious of it somewhat is genetic. i'm incredibly fortunate with my son. i understand there are some undesirable RAD circumstances. My chum purely had to disrupt her daughter that got here to her at 4.5 years. She had to pass to a psychological domicile. She killed the kin cat!! She had to kill others in the domicile. Very frightening stuff. there became different psychological ailment in her kin. besides, this is purely my adventure. i can not inform you in spite of if to decide for it or not. in case you have any questions approximately RAD or my son, be chuffed to digital mail me by using right here.

More and more of us are seeing what the scientists who are critics are saying (Al gore said there weren't any) and they have valid arguments.

The path that is promoted now by the proponents will end with one centralized world wide government who will tell every one on earth who can emit co2, how much and when (the United Nations system of carbon certificates, carbon credits and carbon taxes). Is that the world you want your children to grow up and grow old in?

You have thought about one part of a possible future. Think also about the way we would get there and the other possibilities.

global warming is a very big and real problem we are facing today
most people deny it b/c their party denies it and they're just going along with what their leaders say
before global warming used to be a bipartisan issue and now republicans deny it b/c it's not connvient for them and dont want to much about it,

most ppl are afraid of change, and dont want to accept the climate is changing

ppl have to acknowlege that our actions have consequences, and it's time for us to be responsible and do something about it and not wait for other generations to clean it up and/or suffer our consequences.
