company... the guy really wants to get my bf in and helped him fill out the application and everything. My bf's current emplyer was contacted and his previous ones also. All really good things were said about him. The only thing is that the manager called my bf back and said that he just got his driving record back and it was horrible (hes applying for a mechanic job, his driving reocrd is bad because he got his license suspended a year ago for driving without insurance and he had a few speeding tickets.. no DUI or nething like that) so anyway the guy said that there is another report that he has to run and that hes still working on it and that it's "not dead"... he called 5 days ago and said all this on the machine and told my bf he would call back later that day when he got the report back... he never called back and its been five days... is that really bad??? do you think he wont get the job because of his driving record?

Your BF should call the man and ask the status they do know each other and maybe BF can explain why he thought speeding and driving without a insurance wasn't important. Nobody should have a few speeding tickets, I have never had even one in driving more than 40 years and driving without insurance is both foolish and in most places illegal. But if as a mechanic he won't need to drive they may over look his driving record and maybe he will mature someday. If he has his license back and needs to drive company or client vehicles I could see wanting a responsible adult for the job.
