Not quite as bad as the Bible saleman stuck by lightening on a clear day....but still...why would God allow his name to be tarnished like that. Is is because he doesn't really exist?

Human death is not caused by god. It is caused by malnutrition, disease, violence, and other causes grounded in reality, like mechanical problems. There is no evidence for a god. I'm annoyed by people who say of a dead child, "it was their time to go" or it is "god's will, we should not question it." If one accepts the physical basis of human ills, they can be changed, just like we no longer see children dying from smallpox in the states.

Being a Christian does not insulate anyone from bad things happening. It only ensures us that God is with us during these bad times and is totally aware of what is happening and in His great scheme of eternity allows or permits certain events. Sometimes Christians are disobedient and put themselves in dangerous situations and are not guaranteed protection at all times. But the main thing I would to put out for consideration is that death of a Christian is not a bad thing. All true Christians look forward to seeing Jesus and being with him in heaven for eternity. The bible says eye has not seen or ear heard the wonderful things God has prepared for those who love him. The very very best day on earth will never be as good as the worst day in heaven!

God was preoccupied, trying to solve the problems in Iraq, Darfur and Lebanon. For an omnipotent guy, he seems to have a HUGE problem with multitasking, because he doesn't seem to be making ANY progress.

I believe that God wants us to walk in faith.

Think about this: If every person who believed in God was blessed with protection, wealth and good health while those who did not believe in God were cursed with injuries, poverty and bad health, most people would proclaim their faith in God just to live better.

A belief in God does not protect us from poor engineering or natural consequences.

Sounds like a ride malfunction to me. Apparently someone did not investigate the ride before they began operating it. Cant blame God for that.

Jumping from a bungee cord is called being a "dare devil".
Your doing something to test God to protect you; and the devil, to take you. Unless you think you are as good and spiritual as Jesus Christ, it's not something you should do.
kind of like those Christians that handle poison snakes. The Bible says: " Do not tempt the Lord your God." (or put God to the test).

God stopped the rest of the people from dying... he just figured it was time for this ONE person to die, horribly, painfully, and wondering why he saved everyone else.

On the rollercoaster!

Just because someone died, does not tarnish His name. It was their time to go, so they went....
