If it MOVES it's worms and she needs to be medicated for that. If it doesn't move, it's something she ate and she's very lucky it didn't compact in her intestines and require an operation. Dogs eat all sorts of stuff they shouldn't, so make sure her poops don't show that she's been eating non-food items.

Hi, Yes it does sound like pups got worms, I agree with most of the other answers, try not to worry to much, but take puppy to the vet as early as you can, with a sample. Don't buy worming tablets from pet store as there are many different types of worms, but your vet will know straight away what treatment is suitable.
All the very best and I am sure everything will turn out fine for both of you.

Sounds like worms to me. It's very common. Don't panic. They sometimes move around too. Really gross. If you just got the pup, it may have had worm medicine already and the worms may be coming out. Either way, you should get the pup to a vet, or at least call your vet and let them know what's going on.. If you have had the pup to a vet, you can probably take a stool sample in without paying the exam fee. I'm not sure what your circumstances are.
Of coarse, if your dog is in pain or seems very lethargic, call the vet immediately!
Good luck! :)

Oh don't worry. Your puppy just has worms. They can be serious but thats not to often. You bring your puppy to the vet and tell the vet about the worms. The only issue is that if the woms get into your puppy's heart, thus the name heart worm. There is easy medications you can give your puppy to deal with the worms. If you live in the like Iowa, Texas, Missipppii around there you may need to give you puppy a heart worm guard once a month for as long as you have you puppy so forever. If you live in the Northwest (like me) you won't have to do that, you can to be safe but you don't have too. For some reason dogs are way more at risk for getting a heart worm in Texas, Iowa, Missippii and such. But all you have to do is get some worm med's. Usally you get some meds that you just squirt in their moulths, they don't all like it. My puppy hated it but my cousin's dog liked it. So just bring your puppy to the vet and get some worm med's.

It could be worms but my experience has always been string, thread or other threadlike foods i.e. spaghetti squash or grass. Take a stool sample and bring it to the vet on Monday if you can't identify it certainly. Best of luck.

Sounds like worms, did you take your puppy to the vet when you got her, to have her checked out. Is puppy in pain or bleeding ?? You didn't say how old your puupy is. I'd take pupy in, chances are you just need her de-wormed. But better to be safe, than sorry.
