Most countries in the world say that Armenian genocide happened. Only Turkey says that it didn't
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recognition_of_the_Armenian_Genocide

So why does the rest of the world say that Armenian genocide happened , if it didn't not. How is it possible that Turkey is the ONLY country in the world that is right and everybody else is wrong!

Turkey isn't the only country in the world that doesn't accept the genocide. There are other countries out there that are on the Turks side, and others who are on the Armenians. For example, the state of Texas believes that the genocide is a lie, while the state of Pennsylvania believes it is a fact. So, not everyone accepts this occurrence.
PS. Wikipedia isn't a reliable source by the way. I have an account there, and even I can change that website and make it false, so please don't use it for future academic purposes. :-)

It's just a matter of perspective.
Imagine you have two acquaintances and one comes to you and swears the other beat them up and goes around saying the same to everyone who's willing to hear.
You don't know them that well so you believe what you hear.
When the second one tries to deny it, it's too late!
The first version has already stuck, truthful or not.

I personally believe it was an "ethnic cleanup" but someone else will think "No, it wasn't!" and probably be offended with my answer, sooooooooooo... it's just my opinion, it's worth what it's worth!

Ok, we will explain you everything. Stand at the phone booth on 3rd Ave. and 129th St. in Manhattan at 2:37 am, July 19, holding a black briefcase and wearing a red carnation. Also wear a full clown suit and makeup. Do not bring anyone with you and be sure nobody follows you. Do not leave until the phone rings. When it rings, answer and say the password, which is in Turkish: "Ben bir horospu çocugum." Say it three times, quickly. You will receive further instructions at that time.

Those countries are using it as a political tool. For example, Algerian people say France committed genocide in Algeria while France says it is a subject must be left to historians. However,France says Ottoman Empire did such a thing.

So be honest and tell me,if this is not hypocrite, then what it is.
The same things are done by the other countries you mention.European countries exploited all the world and made
the rest of the world slaves while slaughtering millions of innocent people.

Do they accept those things as genocides?NO!THEY DO NOT!

Then tell me what makes you think those countries claim such a thing without any political reasons.

I just want to pose a question

please anyone who know the answer is welcome - I am not taking the side of anyone here, I just want to see behind "genocide questions" and answers

why is it a so big matter for Armenians?what will be the results of people of Armenia if genocide is accepted?
is it just a matter of historical memory? of pride? revenge? what?

I am really being honest here, and I dont intend to provoke

I just would like to know the thoughts behind this,
to get things clear because this is getting a big matter in yahoo answers

:)

to Deniz aka "hot turk" is what you saying that we should just FORGET about our unresolved history??? How can we give up and forget?

The reason why they said a genocide never happened is because of the outcomes they will have to face. Trust me...deep down they all know it happened. Unless they were raised not to (this is natural). Therefore, people should be open minded, go do research on their own from both sides of the story, not fight with eachother, and set their OWN opinion.

I've done my role in basing my OWN opinion....
Turkey's history is guily of the ARMENIAN GENOCIDE!

To the Turkish people: we don't hate you and we don't think of you as killers. It was clearly your ancestors. However, we blame you for not recognizing the truth and cleaning up after your ancestors. That is all. Please no tension.

Yes,Hottürk said to you.The real genocide is in Iraq.They made a Turcoman genocide.Today 88 people are killed,200 wounded.What is a genocide?Look at there.
How can you believe this Armanian genocide lie?I know.Your benefits neccessitate that lie.You cant see Turkish genocide in Van,Igdır.Because you are blind. And now your blind eyes cant see the genocide in Iraq.

A few centuries back Galileo Galilei said the world turns and the "rest of the world" believed it is stationary and that it is flat. Does truth change even when there is one person only defending it?

What was your point again?

Greece has its own opinion about it..But as greek users we dont want to interfere, and we dont want to cause misunderstandings, since for the national topics as i have already said, either they happened, or not, who is right or not,be sure that the people of yahoo answers are not responsible..
Concerning myself, i avoid taking place in a topic which concerns 2 countries, in our section interfere people who have nothing to do with the topic we discuss, for example Greece-Turkey or whatever else..This is bad, because you create ennemies by both parts, and it is not the right place to resolve the problems of the United Nations(be sure they will never be resolved even there)...
For this reason, i want to please also 1 turkish user who has expressed her opinions about a national topic of Greece, which doesnt concern Turkey, and especially herself(my contacts have to be calm, i am not refering to them), that it is better to stay away from it, as we try to stay away from topics which concern Turkey and other countries...The user knows who she is and what i am talikng about..
But my policy, is never to refer to names openly, in order not to insult and to expose the dignity of anyone..I have used to be respectful
