JW's, Unitarians, Christadelphians, and other antichrist cult disciples love to "challenge" real Christians to either prove the Trinity or deny it. I'm wondering when they'll ask us to do something difficult. How can one deny something that is as plain as the nose on their face? The Word if FULL of the Trinity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God in three persons, equal in power and glory. And why do they get angry when ample Scriptureproof is provided?
The commission of Christ to make disciples of people of every nation, baptizing them in THE NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is an absolutely blatant reference to the triune God. And this is but the tip of the "iceberg". There is an entire mountain of evidence showing that God cannot be anything other than a triad.
From a purely logical standpoint, if God is love, whom did God love before he created the angels and men? Love must be reciprocated. A monad cannot reciprocate love -- only two or more can.

THA, like I said, JW's et al, are too busy ignoring the Scriptures that clearly teach of a triune, incomprehensible God. Cultists like a god who fits nicely in a box of their own making. That's called idolotry. JW's love to disapprove of the Romanist who uses images in worship (and rightly so), but fails to see that they too worship images -- false images of a god of their own making -- a god they can control and comprehend fully. Afterall, God couldn't possibly be different than us could he (I say sarcastically, for those not quite quick enough to get that)?

jimi4950, you say what you say because you don't know the Scriptures, and you've chosen to dismiss 2000 years of Church history, not to mention the myriad verses from the OT that speak of the preINCARNATE God. Christ has always existed, and has always existed as the Son of God. The Gospel of John says that in the beginning was the Word, and that the Word was with God, and that the Word was God; that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, as the one full of the glory of God. So that quite puts a stake in the heart of your objection, now doesn't it?

Lillie, and cultists divorce the Scripture from it's historical context. Every Jew knew what the term "Son of God" meant, the same as they knew what Jesus meant when he said "Before Abraham was born, I AM." They didn't take up stones to stone him for nothing. If indeed he was lying he was guilty of the worst form of blasphemy by making himself equal with God. However, he was not lying, and he is equal with God, because he is God.

Teem, how convenient, to use the Catholic Encyclopedia to support this and that and then to reject it's doctrine. I'm a Protestant, son. And you, in your oh-so-wise acceptance of your so-called "honest scholars) dismiss all of the scholars of the Reformation such as Calvin, and Luther, Knox, Owen, etc, not to mention all of the other great Theologians throughout history. However, once again, I don't need to appeal even to these great men to PROVE the Trinity. The Scriptures themselves speak very clearly of this to anyone who comes with humility. But God resists the proud.

NOTE: Arianism was a heresy in the 4th century. Athanasius is the godly man responsible for combating Arius' wicked gnosticism, and hence we have the Athanasian Creed. The doctrine of the Trinity didn't BEGIN here, it was ratified here. All true Christians already believed it, but it needed to be codified in order to combat heresy. The same can be said for the books of the Bible. We didn't have a complete "Bible" until the time of Athanasius, and if memory serves me right, he had a lot to do with helping to assemble the books that the Church already recognized as posessing the fingerprint of God. This is history - this is church history - this is the history of God's elect. The goats will be cast into the Lake of Fire, and the smoke of their torments ascends up forever.

Bay, actually it's Yehwah Elohehnu Adonai echadh. And you failed to mention that "echadh" denotes not a single "one" but a one of many, such as a cluster of grapes. Better brush up on your Hebrew home girl.

Amen..... I think the biggest problem is that they don't understand it. That being said, sadly there are also Trinitarians that don't understand it and that's why they are able to fall prey to those that tell them "Jesus prayed to the Father... how do you pray to yourself?"... They are either misled or are misleading others on purpose....

I find your comment very interesting.
At best most honest scholars will admit that the Bible only hints at a trinity.
Most honest scholars will admit that the Bible does not teach the Trinity of God, Christ, and the holy spirit.
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.
So if 'you've proved the doctrine of the Trinity, then you are taking Scripture out of context.
If you can prove the doctrine of the Trinity, then you know something the original writters of the Bible didn't know.
If you can prove the doctrine of the Trinity, then you have gone beyond the Gospel that Jesus taught.
Does this make me mad? No, just sad that God's name is be slandered.
It makes me sad that you have been blinded by Satan.
2 Cor 4:4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
When did image worship become acceptable?

When an irresistible force meets an immovable object, there is an inaudible sound. That's an engineering principle. It happens to work similarly in the spiritual realm also. God, in all his triune glory, is that irresistible force. We, in all our sinful pride are apparently immovable objects. We always stubbornly resist the holiness of God no matter what we say or do, because our selves are on the thrones of our hearts - until God moves us to see how shameful our position is. When we are resisting his truth, the Holy Spirit sighs as it bypasses us. We cannot hear him.
But when we are truly boken before God, casting ourselves upon him because we know we are sinners, then the Holy Spirit is moving us. When we pick up God's word, the Bible, honestly wanting to know what God would tell us (even if that goes against everything we've been led to believe) then divine revelation takes place and we see things in the Bible we'd never noticed before. The triune nature of the God-head is a matter of divine revelation. It cannot be proven logically, and unspiritual people demand logical proof - reasons must appeal to THEIR logic and that's why JWs get angry. They think Trinitarians are being illogical and JWs get frustrated when we turn their human logic around. For example, the JW above who said "1x1x1=3" needs to be told he's working with the wrong mathematical formula. It should be 1x1x1=1.

JWs get angry when Jesus relationship to his father in the bible is twisted, not there is any proof of any trinity.
Trinitarians will says "US" in the beginning of the bible is the trinity but "US" is only used a few times then stops. Does God stop being a trinity for the rest of the scriptures?
The Trinity is simply a flawed doctrine.
Trinitarians say Jesus was a Man-God. If this is true then Jesus did not live a perfect life and did not give salvation to his follows. Jesus as a man was still under the law of no idolatry.
But Jesus worships his father which Trinitarian says they are the same deity. If that is the case then Jesus is performing self worship which is idolatry.
Jesus would of then broken the Mosaic Law and not be qualified to purge Adam's sin.
self-worship:
Noun
1. worship of yourself
(synonym) idolatry
John 4:22 - “YOU worship what YOU do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews.”
Notice that Jesus included himself when said: we worship what we know...so follow the Master....

stegokitty, I have been reading this forum for quite some time and have seen that for every scripture that appears to prove the trinity, there are three or more, sometimes part of the same passage, that proves that the true God is not a triune one.
I simply go back to what was taught at the beginning: Yehwah Elohehnu Yehwah echadh. (Jehovah is one Jehovah) Deuteronomy 6:4

I have a point for you and I'm not a part of man made religion,
You cannot be in existence before you began to exist., Gabriel announced to Mary, was to to be known as the son of God precisely because he was produced supernaturally by God in Mary's womb. Mary truly conceived a descendant of David, and God really became the father of a real son at the time of Mary's conception. To be begotten means that one is caused to come into existence., and if Jesus was not the descendant of David, he could not have been the son of David and thus could not have been the Messiah. you can read this at Matthew 1;1 also read Luke 1: 35.

Your quote: "The commission of Christ to make disciples of people of every nation, baptizing them in THE NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is an absolutely blatant reference to the triune God."
Then why did EVERY disciple baptise in JESUS NAME ONLY???
As you emphasised ' THE NAME ' of the Father/Son/Holy Spirit....
Did they all get it wrong?
Did they disobey?
NO.....they knew that Jesus was the fullness of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Well lucky you! In my encounters with JW's and other unitarians, I've never been asked to prove the Trinity or even given the opportunity. Instead, I'm asked to answer objections--objections, mind ye, that are often based on misconceptions of the Trinity which I'm also never given the opportunity to straighten out.
To answer your question, though, I think they get angry because they have a lot invested in their denial of the Trinity. It's frustrating for anybody who is faced with an argument against a position they have a lot personally invested in.

well it is a different belief .Whether it can be proven one way or another is debatable of course as you have seen from those who dont go along with your provings. I believe it was popular for Greek religion to belive in many Gods. other religions perhaps rejected the trinity as a man man invention to try to please and appeal to those Greeks to be able to accept christianity.
So maybe you will not be able to convince those people. Look into your similarities and build on that for human relations to stay friendly and back away from those differences...just accept your belief as well as those who will continue to accept their beliefs and move on.People will be different than yourself you know.

We get frustrated because Satan has people like yourself so blinded that it is vertially impossible to let the light of the truth shine through.
All you have to do is some very simple research. And you will discover that a truine God is a pagan teaching. It was fused in with apostate Christianity in the fourth century CE.
1st century Christians knew very well who Christ was.........
In Matt 16:15,16,Jesus asks his disciples:"You though, who do you say I am?".In answer,Simon Peter said:"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God".

Many of these battles were fought long ago, and people still want to take the opposing sides in spite of the decisions in favor of the Trinity back in the early years of the church. No amount of proof given to them will loosen their hold on their theology, and they will cling to their beliefs no matter what logic or biblical proof is presented to them. It just won't work, you are chasing after the wind.
