I have 24 screws and a plate in my leg. It never even sets off the metal detector.

Yes, you can fly. The security people will do a hand scan with a wand to verify that the metal is internal. You need to advise them of the situation.

Yes, I have a rod in my spine. I carry documentation and present it before entering the metal detector. Last fall, I waited a little to late and set off an amazing alarm system.

Yes,

You will have to allow special metal screening, but just tell the screener that you have medically implanted metal and you need to be wanded (scanned with the hand held metal detector wand).

I'm sure you can. I don't see how they can stop you for having it. And what are you going to do? Take a plate out and stab someone with it? You will have to tell them you have this metal and they will run the wand over you

i believe you can but you might want to have a doctor's note just in case you run into any security problems. i had a grandfather who had his hip and knee replaced and that had metal in it, but he still flew.

Yes.

You'll set off the detectors but after the full body search they'll be sure to clear you to fly. ;)

yes you can, but contact the airport before hand because they might require you to bring xrays as proof along with you... just a thought.

just clear it with them first if i were you...

good luck

are you able to pull them out and kill someone with them? If not, no problem, but take some sort of medical documenmtation just in case.
