-JUDO :)
- Y, look at the old ufc mashes, the people that dominated (when the ufc was a street fight) grappled. Brazilian jujitsu dominated. JUDO, is kinda like jujitsu. Judo has all the same ground techniques, except judo has more success in taking people down, than jujitsu.
- a tkd or a karate guy would get dominated by a judoka (judo practitioner).
-always go to a place that makes you earn your belt, and not just buy it.
- any Martial art is good for teaching disciplined and self confidants, not just to fight. i think judo is the most, if not than one of the most effective styles in a one on one street fight.
- p.s bushido has a point. look up stuff, and give diffrent styles a chance. SORRY FO' THE SUCKY SPELLING.

Tae Kwon do is the best. I am currently in Tae Kwon do. And I love it. DON'T TAKE KARATE.
I know where i am going I got 30 days for $30.00 and a free uniform.
Tae Kwon do is easier than Karate. I just started last monday and I already have a red stripe on my belt.

Hard to give advice when we don't know what you look like. If you are tall and have long legs then Tae Kwon Do. If you are short with short legs then maybe Judo. What's the hell is cuongnhu karate? never heard of it?

I'm not familiar with Cuong Nhu. Judo & Tae Kwon Do are both good as long as those particular schools are good. Decide if you want to strike or grapple.

Since you don't want to take Karate, why even mention them? If you don't want to do it, your not going to get anything out of it.
If you take Tae-kwon-Do, you'll need to branch out to another system to keep balanced. If your strictly TKD, you'll become weaker in the arms and your punching will suck.
If you do Judo, your stand-up is going to suck in general, although you'll probably be a stronger puncher than in TKD, still. (no offence to Judo people, just what I've seen.)
My advice, take both. You'll be pretty balanced. I think it's a winning combination. If you can't, Take TKD and spend lots of time working out.

I would decide what the reasons for me taking a martial art where and then visit all the schools that you have a choice of. That should be the primary driving force in your selection. Most students won't dedicate themselves or last in a school that does not offer what they are interested. Based on that and the quality of instruction you will then be better informed to make a smart decession.
