will a direct tv sat dish work with a dish network reciver?

I want to take one of my dish recivers in my RV I have an old direct sat dish need to know if they will work together also were to point the dish for dish network

No they work off entirely different signals.

nope, sorry,. they use different satelite receivers, different signals in other words. You have to have a direct box for direct or dish for dish.
