Studies have shown only a very small percentage of Americans are Bible reading and believing Christians. Most are "nominal", ie; in name only. Only a very small percentage tithe and witness. A small number attend Bible Study and are regular attendees of Church. This has all beeen prophesized. As far as most Christians believing that the gov't is out to get them, I haven't heard that. It is true most in government are owned by corporations and are selling-off our infrastructure, removing our rights and liberties.

I am a Christian & I do not believe any one is out to get me.
Here are a few reasons why some Christians believe this.
It does appear that Christianity is loosing its place as most accepted religion in this country (compare now to the 1940's) People seem to be very turned off by Christianity these days, that is why some Christians say that stuff. In other countries people really are Killing Christians every day. (only because they believe differently) .The Christians that feel that way just see what is happening in some of the other countries They know that this kind of hatred has to start some where, and some do feel that it is going to be like that in this country.
But this belief is not something that most Christian believe.

I'm Christian and this is the first I'm hearing of this. You are probably thinking of the government removing prayer from schools. this is the seperation of church and state. the reason for this is that there are private schools you can enroll your kids that are religious based. public schools have to be unbiased. there is good reason for this. i live in a highly Mormon populated area and i dont want to send my kids to public school here and have them teaching that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, or that they will become a god when they die.

Not in the USA, though there are some who would have it that way.
It would be a mistake to think that there aren't those who want to stop Christianity. It would also be a mistake from ceasing to preach the Gospel.
