I'm thinking about getting something and I can't decide between the following:
A regular leather belt folded in half, or these different kinds of paddles and straps from the londontanners website:

Especially:
The Domestic Discipline Punishment Strap
The Corporal Punishment Ruler Paddle
and
The Rectangular Pocket Discipline Paddle ?
Anybody have any thoughts?

The CP Ruler Paddle packs a mighty nasty sting, and leaves you feeling like you got a little too much sun the next day. ;)
NOT my favourite thing to be spanked with. It goes missing occasionally, until I get spanked into divulging it's location. LOL
Ian's spanking strop is lovely though. I'd go for the short, wide one (17" long, 2" wide). I don't own that one, but I had it tested on me at a vendor fair. Yum.
I also like Leather Thorn Paddles. He also does very nice work.

I've bought, or been given, several products from London Tanners. They're extremely well made and - to judge by the yelps and squeals of the young ladies on the receiving end - very effective.
Of the three you mention, the Domestic Discipline Strap is too long to be easily used over the knee, so the spankee needs to be bent over a bed or chair. Since it's so flexible, it can easily twist as it's applied - I'd recommend a little practice with it beforehand.
The other two are great for otk spankings, and both pack a fine sting. The Ruler Paddle, being narrow, is particularly good for applying to the sit spot (the sensitive undercurve where bottom meets thigh). The Pocket Paddle, as the name implies, is perfect for slipping into a pocket in case she misbehaves while you're out somewhere. I find it ideal to take on long country walks - you never know when a convenient bench or fallen tree will show up....

Although I don't care for the man on a personal level, Ian does make some of the best leather toys around, and you can't go wrong with any of those. I have two straps made by London Tanner, both of which have earned high ratings from those I've used them on.

A belt is too parent. Use a paddle or something leather like the cat or a whip.

Are you crazy ! If your child is in need of a more than normal discipline never hit with anything but your open hand and only on the bottom, ya your hand starts to hurt but if you hit with anything else that is abuse, if you consider any other form of spanking devise then I hope someone turns you in for abuse and takes your child away before you kill them.

belt reminds me too much of parent/child spanking, go for that if that's a role you play one night, otherwise, a paddle is good, wooden. I can't look at the ones you present right now, but I hope you find one that works for you

Ohhhhhhh we have the ruler paddle from London Tanners and it pack a good sting alright!!!! Pretty much any of those would.

Forget the Cat-o-Nine-Tails.......just use a regular house cat. Not only will it make all kinds of kewl sounds, but when you're done, you can open a window and the evidence of your "play" won't be accidently discovered by those pesky roomates or relatives.
