I need to lose around 20lbs in about 3 weeks and would appreciate any tips or help. What kind of foods should I be eating, what excerise regime should I do (I currently do no excercise). I am desperate for any input!

Drink eight to ten glasses of lemon aide per day made with maple syrup (grade a or b...not pancake syrup), lemons and a dash of cayenne pepper (1/10 teaspoon per glass). get a yoga ball and do 20 squats against the wall with it, 20 crunches on it and sit with it between your legs (sit on a chair or bed or something) and do 20 to 40 thigh squeezes per day. and drink 8 to ten glasses of water per day too. you'll be surprised at the results. good luck.

Well this may be a difficult thing to do as a "safe" amount of weight to lose is two pounds per week. It may be tempting to try to crash diet, but DON'T DO IT. You will not be able to keep the weight off. Exercise and a healthy and reasonable diet are one of the best things you can do for yourself. The better thing to aim for will be a healthy lifestyle where you can keep losing small amounts of weight rather than losing 20 lbs. and gaining it all back.

EATING:
-Limit your fat intake, but don't overly limit your calories. You won't have enough energy to exercise.
-To lose one pound, you must burn 3,500 calories more than you consume. There are calorie calculators on the internet which calculate how much you burn just by existing, not counting exercise.
-WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING YOU EAT. This is seriously the best thing you can do to help yourself.
-Keep healthy snacks around--don't buy stuff like chips, cookies, etc. Keep fruit around instead.
-Drink tons and tons and tons of water. I can't emphasize that enough.

EXERCISE
-Running is what I really enjoy. However, it can be too much for some people. Walking may be a better solution. Every mile you walk or run burns about 100 calories.
-Weight training is also crucial in that it increases your metabolism (how many calories you burn while just sitting there.)
-Find ways to make it fun. Get friends together to walk, walk while talking on the phone, turn on the radio and dance. It doesn't have to be as boring as it might seem.
-Find someone to keep you accountable and/or work out with.

Good luck!!

Get a talking pedometer to keep inspired. Mine is GoWalking by Sportline (about $12.95 at WalMart.) Try to work up to 10,000 steps (about 5 mi/day) Swimming and jumping rope are also excellent.

Do South Beach Diet. Lean beef, chicken, fish. Baked or Broiled. No fried foods. No white flour, white rice, sugar or potatoes. Only 100% whole wheat flour allowed in bread. Read labels. Brown rice--slow cooking--not instant. Eat green vegetables and salads. Paul Newman has good low-calorie salad dressing. Honey Mustard and Sesame Ginger are my favorites. No processed foods. Low or no-fat milk and eggs OK. Berries, apples and grapes OK. a few peanuts, almonds or walnuts OK. Take multivitamin and calcium daily. I also take 1500 MG glucosamine sulfate and 1200 MG Flaxoil pills daily.
Skip carbonated drinks.Coffee, tea OK. Don't eat after 6:00 p.m.

very not likely and unsafe to lose 10 pounds each and every week. Why would you even prefer to? I prefer thick ladies to skinny ladies, yet perhaps it somewhat is by using the fact i'm in the grimy South. Your regiment sounds incredibly stable. i'd advise staying far flung from soda and ice cream thoroughly. eco-friendly tea is a metabolism booster. Drink 2 cups in line with day. notwithstanding many vegetables you're ingesting, consume greater. additionally, in straightforward terms a million or 2 products of fruit in line with day. they have an excellent variety of sugar, and organic or not, sugar is sugar. you in all probability shouldn't pass under 800 energy in line with day. the substantial to determining is getting your cardio. this suggests your coronary heart could be racing. Burn greater energy than you take in. Oh, and the greater you unfold your energy out in the day, the better. If it became reasonable, i'd propose you consume 800 a million calorie food in line with day. EDIT: And that's stated to drink 8 cups (0.5 gallon) of water in line with day. i don't think of you may have too a lot water (besides some thing outrageously stupid like 20 gallons or some thing), however the guy under me could be suited.

You should DEFINITELY be excercising!! Plus, you need to eat lots and lots of healthy foods--fruits, veggies, that sorta thing. Eating some foods provided by brands such as WeightWatchers and LeanCuisine may also help, but keep in mind that all that weight will not come off overnight and will definitely not come off unless you eat healthy and excercise.
