If a bride is in love she can't but help but look beautiful. It is obvious the one you love just loves you as you are. My daughter is being married tomorrow (hence I'm on this site). She is really slim and over months we were in lots of wedding shops and saw brides2b of all shapes and sizes and I can put my hand on my heart and say they all looked lovely. Sometimes a particular dress didn't suit a person, even those with a beautiful figure but with the right dress (and there is one for everyone) everyone is perfect. Don't worry about a dress ripping going down the aisle, you will be fitted to the exact size. Okay it is healthy to be slim and would encourage you to do so but by the sound of your posting you haven't the time so enjoy your big day and your honeymoon and then think about the loosing weight thing. If I am incorrect and you have months to go then by all means joing a slimming club. I am only a mother of the bride and have managed to lose 2 stone plus since Jan without too much effort. My niece has shed 56lb since then and although still a good bit to go she is over the moon what she was able to buy clotheswise for the wedding tomorrow. Take heed, enjoy your day and only for your healths sake start thinking about your weight after.

I felt the same way!! I didn't want to feel like a big white snow monster. The solution, drum roll please..... find the best dress in traditional white wedding form and get a second dress that suites your coloring and that's more your style for the reception. Some people thought I was crazy because I spent so much money but I work and paid for it, so what's the big deal. In indian weddings they change dresses maybe 3-4 times in the ceremony. I planned my wedding in 4 mths and most places would need 3 mths to order so it was also my back up plan
The first dress I bought in nyc at RK bridal and I had a beautiful dress from Barney's New York in a blush color in 2 piece with a lace beaded top and long silk gown skirt. It was amazing, and really made the wedding special. So be creative. Your the bride and could do anything you want!! Feel beautiful!!

You can lose weight (a few pounds) in a week with sensible eating, cut out all the rubbish and junk and fill up on fresh fruit and vegetables and drink loads of water. It will also help your skin look bright and clear. In the end though your husband to be must love you as you are, and there are far more big girls than there are skinny girls, bridal dresses come in all sizes so there will be something out there that will fit you.

Your not fat your full bodied and beautiful, your husband to be must like it so don't sweat it. Go shopping at a clothing store who carries the right size for you and ask the sales people for truthful input.Don't buy a dress that looks good only on a size 8 girl, don't go for "in" styles go for what looks good on you,and have a great wedding day !!

When ARE you getting married? The dress is usually one of the first things to sort out! As long as you have at least 6 months before the happy day-try your local bridal shop-they can help you. One company to try is Bonny Bridal. They have a plus-size range "Unforgettable".

Isaac Mizarahi (I think that's how it is spelled) came out with a really nice and lower priced line for Target.com if you are interested in that.
My sister is getting married over 700 miles away from where I live. I advised her to hit local wedding shops for names of dress makers so she could go online and see their full collections at her own pace. I also went to bridal shops here and got some of the names and sent her the web addresses (which I no longer have).
Good luck!

One of the biggest problems with wedding gowns today is that they are not made for real women. Strapless, revealing gowns are not good choices for full figured women. The most flattering gown is something more modest. This site has beautiful and stylish gowns that are cut more modestly and include short sleeves on most. Good Luck.

As long as you don't squeeze your size 18 butt into a size 6 dress the seams will not rip. buy a dress that fits.

Ummmm....I'm assuming you mean "weight". And, if this is a legit question, you should know that they make certain styles of wedding dresses in plus sizes. Check out the David's Bridal website.
