I am planning to just stop going to work, quit that is. I don't like the place I'm working at. I don't think they treat the workers fair where I work at. Anyway, If i just stop going to work without letting them know, will it go bad on my record? Should I let them know that I'm leaving? I'm not under contract or anything.

If you want to use this company on your resume or as a reference I would suggest giving them a 2 week notice.

It sounds like you aren't happy with your job but why not stick it out until you find something new?

I would never quit a job before having a new one...

I understand exactly what you mean .I've been in that exact situation. But guess what I'm still there, and believe you me i still feel the same way. You see i have a plan and I'm working on it.But until i get through then I'll make my move. My philosophy is don't leave what you don't have yet for what you have. Sometimes when the going gets tough we just have to cling to GOD'S unchanging hands. Do you have a plan or hope to find another job soon as you leave ? If yes then leave honorably. Give them their 2 weeks notice cause you may need them for some recommendation.

You should let them know you are leaving. Give them at least two weeks notice. You may not be required by law to do this since you aren't under a contract, but if you don't do this, you will likely get a very negative recommendation from them.

It doesn't matter if your under contract. It is commomn curiousy to give notice to any job. It does go on your reppitation. When you apply for another Job and they ask for Job referance. Nornmally you will put down the address and phone numbers of last jobs, they call those places and find out if your a good employee and if you gave notice, and your personallity, this helps them to decide if they want to trust you with the work thay want you to do!!!

Always treat your employer in a professional manner, even if they don't treat you that way! The manager you will burn by not coming in may just be a hiring head at a company you want to work for down the road.......anyone for that matter who works there and is aware of your hasty exit could very well be in a position later on to influence your chances of obtaining employment. Don't burn your bridges. Act professionally, and it will pay off in the long run, even if you will hate every minute of your two week's notice.....it could really come back to bite you if you don't.

NO, do not just "quit just like that". I don't know how old you are or what your situation is, but what you've described is a VERY BAD MOVE. You'll regret it immediately.
For one thing, you should have another job lined up. Then give a couple weeks' notice before you actually leave.

I'd put in my two weeks notice. If anything, perhaps they'll offer you a raise to stay if they're desperate. In which case you can either go:"No way! I quit!(and be very satisfied with yourself) or take the offer(maybe staying there isn't that bad). If you just leave, it could look somewhat bad on your record.

it is always best to give notice. it's also best not to quit a job until you have another job.

if you change jobs too much you get pegged as a job hopper. . Do you might need to find ways of finding contentment without changing jobs.
Also who treats their workers fair? let me know if you find the place that does that.

DO not quit until you have somethings else lined up it will make it harder for you to find a new job, and when and if you do let them know about it.

If you are not a manager give two weeks notice. If you are a manager you might have to give more than one month notice and help your replacement so that you will have a good reference when you apply for a job elsewhere.

I wish you the best !!! !!! !!! !!!
