You usually get a few cents extra for working the off shifts, ie afternoon or night

A lot of companies pay you a certain amonut per hour. If you work the 2nd or 3rd shift, they will pay extra. If you make $10 an hour and work 2nd shift, they may give you 15 cents more, so you would make $10.15 per hour.
