There is a fifth option E that you did not mention and that is global Warming is true, we cannot stop Global Warming by any reasonable means, and it is better to mitigate the effects of Global Warming rather than destroying the world economies trying to stop Global Warming.
To stop Global Warming would require by the best estimates that we reduce worldwide carbon dioxide emissions to less than one tenth of what they are today.
This would destroy all of the world economies. Also you would not get cooperation worldwide.
In fact a good illustration of the difficulty of achieving cooperation is a meeting that I had earlier this week.
Earlier this week I was invited to join a group of businesspeople and United Staes officials in a meeting with officials from The People's Republic of China.
One of the United States officials brought up the subject of Global Warming and the need for The People's Republic of China to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions.
The officials from The People's Republic of china were very offended and stated very clearly that they intended to increase their use of fossi fuels and carbon dioxide emissions and not decrease them. they said that if they were required to reduce their carbon dioxide emission that it would damage their economy. They said they would not do that under any circumstances.
It is very clear that you will not get the cooperation that you need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to less than one tenth of what they are today.
The only realistic option that you have is to strat planning now how you will mitigate the effects of Global Warming.
The sea levels will rise. Fortunately coastal areas can be protected from flooding by the use of dike systems simialr to those in Holland to hold back the sea.
Hurricanes will become stronger and more frequent. We need to help the affected countries upgrade their disaster preparedness systems.
Droughts will become more frequent. We need to help the affected countries with supplemental water supplies and desalination plants.
We cannot stop Global Warming, but we can mitigate the effects at reasonable cost.

C. Global warming is real and we need to make some changes in our lifestyles such as CF bulbs, hybrid cars, etc. to combat it.
D. Global warming is a coming disaster and we need to ban burning of fossil fuels worldwide to have a chance of survival.
....
people should start using that corn sugar powered cars
btw
maybe what the Mayans predicted about everyone dying in the year 2012 has to have something to do with global warming or some other harm humans are doing to the world

F. Global warming is mostly natural, and we are unable to change it much by the most heroic efforts. Therefore let us take cheer from past episodes where we have knowledge, and note that when the global warms we tend to find more robust economies, more income and food, and more leisure, and an increase in the arts and sciences. Very good things.
We have time to rebuild our coastal cities farther inland and in manners that help us minimize impacts...green belts, public electric transportation, large parks, etc...and we can salvage metals and other materials from the old coastal cities, since recycling steel is much less a drain on resources than making new.
Crops will be bigger with longer growing seasons and more CO2 to stimulate growth. I can see planting and harvesting the shallow sea inlets as they develop, for seafoods.
Many more options.
My biggest fear though is the asteroids the astronomers say are detected heading our way, Will we get a big enough force into space in time to deflect them away from the earth, or will we have to do the countdown on our lives without ever raising a finger to do anything else because we were warned but had not ever prepared?
One modest asteroid will wipe out all we have done for good or ill in the climate issues, and all others too.

C, we need to make sure that we change some of wasteful behaviors to avoid the worst aspects of global warming.
D is too extreme, and the worst-case situation is protrayed well in The Day After Tommorrow.

Between C and D.
C doesn't demand enough to achieve the greenhouse gas emissions reductions required to avoid the worst consequences of global warming (between 50% and 90% by 2050).
D is simply ridiculous. It's impossible and unnecessary to ban all fossil fuels worldwide.

You left out choice E.
Global warming is a natural phenomenon that man is also contributing to by burning fossil fuels. We can never stop it, only delay it by taking extreme environmental measures.

I think that global warming won't end the world, it'll end the routine of life that we have grown accustom to. Our lifestyles have brought us to where we are and we should be willing to change to keep what we call a 'normal' lifestyle. There's no way to destroy the earth, only ourselves.

E. Global warming is real, but there is nothing we can do to stop it so we had best spend our available resources on getting ready for it and its consequences.

there is no way we can completely ban burning the fossil fuels but making changes to our lifestyles- recycling, fuel efficient cars, carpooling could help to slow down the damage
