Wireless controllers will just randomly lose connection, usually right when you don't nead it to. The batteries also will frequently come lose, so you will have to push them back down every hour. The battery life is also very short. You will end up changing the batteries every 2-3 weeks. All that this does is waste away all of your money. That is why I never use wireless. I would recommend staying away from wireless and use only the controllers with wires. As far as brands go, I would very strongly recommend Pelican controllers. They have always served me very well. Pelican controllers are now the only brand I will ever use. If you have Guitar Hero, the wireless guitars are even worse. The wireless guitars also tend to be built poorly, and as a result, the strumbars will frequently jam in place, especially when you try to strum quickly. I have had 4 wireless guitars, so I know this is not a random problem. The guitars with wires may get in the way, but they are always perfectly reliable. For your own sake, and that of your wallet's, stick to wires.

The Logitech ultimeate game controller was the best remote I have ever bought. There is no Lag no-matter how far away you are. I've played my Playstation from across my street and still got a good sharp control. Also there are no wires to tangle or anything.

If you bought a 3rd party controller it will last a few years. But keep it away from your dog
