Actually God is not a bad communicator but one huge thing that has infact mislead and confused the entire population is in the translating of the Bible. Translators have according the their own wish ommited to put God's personal name Jehovah in the Bible where it originally was recorded. in over 600 places, instead they have placed the word 'GOD or LORD" in capitals as a substitute. Because of this they have taken God's identity away from him, and people do not know who or what God is. In The New English Bible: The name Jehovah appears at Exodus 3:15; 6:3 Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15 Judges 6:24 & Ezekiel 48:35 King James Version - The name Jehovah is found at Exodus 6:3, Pslam 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, 26:4 Exodus 22:14: 17:15 & Judges 6:24. The American Standard Version: The name Jehovah is used consistently in the Hebrew Scriptures beginning with Genesis 2:4. ......and the list goes on. However people still worship Jesus as God but we can see that they are two different indentities. Shouldn't we honor God by using his name in worship. Didn't Jesus say in the Lord's prayer..."Our Father in the heavens Hallowed be THY NAME" (which in effect means let your name be held holy) note he did not say My Name". Psalms 83:18 says ""That nations may know that you whose name is JEHOVAH, you ALONE are the most high over all the earth." Romans 10:13,14 & 15 says "For everyone who calls on the name of JEHOVAH will be saved. However how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn will they hear without someone to preach? How in turn will they preach unless they have been sent forth?" You see because people's salvation depends on them worshiping their creator Jehovah God this is the very reason why Jehovah's witnesses go door to door to help people understand their creator.

Free will. You can DO anything you want, so yes, it is possible to worship a false God. To worship an entity other than God would be worshiping a false god.
God asks only that you worship no other God before him, he doesn't incapacitate you from being able to worship other gods, should you chose. Its a choice we make out of faith, and that is the beauty of God, free will. There are many religions that worship deities other than God. God is an excellent communicator, you just have to be willing to listen and learn.

"A false god" is ANYTHING that you put before God. It is an Idol. It could be a person, thing, relationship, tv show, etc.
It is not only possible, but very common for people to worship a false god using this definition. Also, keep in mind that worship is about love & devotion (of time, money, etc.) to a specific thing.

Dear specal,
There is only one God. And He has graciously given us His law book that we may know what His commandments are. There are commanments concerning how we are to worship Him. If those commandments are violated, we are not worshipping the God of the Bible.
The Bible states, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23, 24)
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Christian or not, we live in a free country and you can worship any dang thing you please.
Whether it is part of your faith's beliefs is another thing between you and your G whatever that is. If you want to belong to a congregation, you have to play by the rules or get kicked off the team. Simple as that.

Anything anyone loves more than GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit (these three separate persons all in the ONE GODHEAD) known as GOD that then becomes their god.
