Go to the fabric store and get some fabric in the colors you like and hang the fabric on the walls using tacks. That way you can change the look at anytime and you won't violate your lease which probably says not to paint. Why stop with the walls, hang fabric across the ceiling too. Tack the fabric to the center fo the ceiling then run it out to the top corners. Sheer light weight fabric work best for this.

Since you are renting you may want to check with your landlord about his policy's regarding painting/decorating your space... He may not be too thrilled when you move at a pink/green room... If you get the go ahead, have fun !

The best way to choose a background color for the room is to trial with a palette of different shades and tones, in combination with the color and textures of the furniture and materials.

take strips of duct tape as tall as your walls are and paint them the color you want your walls. then stick them to your walls and you got your fave color stripes on em. when its time to move out, tear them down. it looks great too. if you dont want to do that , have your mom ask the landlord about it. just have fun :))
