Battery of '98 nissan sentra?

Battery's spent. I tried to remove it but it felt stuck. How to remove it? Also planning on buying a new battery for my car. Any advice or recommendations for buying battery?

Auto-Zone Lulu. there are guy's down there that can change it for you batterys weigh 40 pounds it might not be stuck just heavy.

its got a hold down safety device which keeps it stationary ...
one 12mm bolt directly in the front of battery near head lamp
