also if i m getting a comptuer science degree..what would be some good courses to minor in that will open up oppurtunities to high paying jubs

80% of college graduates are working in a field unrelated to their degree within 10 years. You may as well ask "What are the highest paying careers?" Your degree has little to do with the question. Hind out what you LOVE to do and get paid for it. That will earn you more in ANY field than doing something you hate in the best paying field.

If you're looking for the money in the Information Technology field, you will both fail miserably AND not make much money.

Find out what you love to do, and do it. Progress from there.

The careers that pay the highest also have the highest demand on your time.

You could be a UNIX admin with several shell scripting languages under your belt and work in NY City, if you don't mind long hours, a difficult commute, having your vactions cut short or cancelled and having to wear a beeper AND a cell phone at all times and be requied to come in at any hour of the day or night.
