What kind of virus/food poisoning would case a person to have bloody diarrhea? I was fine this morning, started having abdominal cramps at 10am. The cramps became severe at around 1pm and my stools went from solid to diarrhea in a matter of an hour. Now, three hours later, there's blood in my stool. I plan to call a doctor if there is still blood next time I go to the bathroom. I take Coumadin, but my INR is fine. It's just so hard to know where to go or who to call on a Sunday!

That doesn't sound like food poisoning.
Go to webmd.com and check your symptoms, maybe it will help you figure out what's wrong.
Get an appointment to see your doctor first thing tomorrow, but if you start to vomit or feel dizzy i would go straight to the ER.

blood in the stool can be simple or dangerous. It dpends on how much, is is bright red or dull rusty. Go to the ER to be safe.Especially if you are on blood thinners.
