I think you answered your own question. I have Lupus and have had it for a long time. The only thing you didnt put is that it is an autoimmune disease where our own cells attack each other because they become hyperactive, and do not know they are attacking their own healthy cells. So Dr's use immunosuppresents, chemotherapy, and prednisone, to suppress the immune system, in hopes of quieting a flare or pushing it down into remmison,

My mom was diagnosed with SLE about 5 years ago. Your definition nails it on the head but there is also lupus that effects the skin only. Gestational lupus and drug induced lupus are 2 other kinds of lupus. A really great website is www.lupus.org. Lupus is not the end of the world. My mom still works 40+ hours a week, gardens, and goes out with friends. She now knows her limitations but does not let it affect her life too much. I also know a lady in my town that has had lupus for about 35 years and does very well.

I understand the need to raise lupus awareness. Perhaps you might go to the link provided for suggestions for advocacy. And get everyone you know to contact their federal legislators to co-sponsor the Lupus REACH Amendments. That would do a lot of good and we need more sponsors for this critical funding!!!!!

Hi, hedzy! OK, certainly one of my all-time favourite moments on that exhibit was once the episode wherein Kramer comes to a decision to undertake a component of the Arthur Burkhart (sp ?) throughway. When Kramer comes to a decision to widen the avenue through getting rid of a lane and fails miserably whilst it motives site visitors issues, he douses the avenue with paint thinner. The scene wherein Newman, who's riding his mail truck with a few particles stuck beneath it that is taking pictures sparks all over, begins screaming because the avenue catches on hearth whilst he is making a song "Three Times a Lady" STILL makes me chortle so rough that I cry. Favorite episode, despite the fact that, is the only wherein Jerry buys the automobile from Puddy and takes George with him. "Au revoir, Le George!" and the sweet line-up rock.
