wow. i just watched parts of this movie and have to say that i am more creeped out by "christians" than i have been ever before. does this seem to be more of a cult to anyone other than me? why do people want their children to have this "relationship" so badly that they have to brainwash them into beleiving these things? what the hell is that language they keep speaking??? if it sounds like a cult, they act like they're in a cult, and they pray like they're in a cult, then it must be a cult. wtf.

Those were NOT Christians.

What you saw in action were the mindless and hateful PSEUDO-Christians of the RRR Cult. By LYINGLY claiming to be Christians, and by having such a high-profile, noisy, and noiSOME presence in society (despite their comprising only a mere 5% of it), they have given Christianity, and America's **actual** Christians a very bad and undeserved name and black eye.

The "Religious" Radical Right is comprised 100% of bigoted and sociopathic LOSERS who unconscionably pursue anti-social and anti-freedom agendas that seek to impose hardship on hundreds of millions of people by destroying valuable personal liberties.

They should NEVER be confused with the 94% of professing Christians. We who are your ordinary, friendly, UNobtrusive, sensible, fair-minded and tolerant, work-a-day next-door neighbors. They are as different from us as night and day... respectively.

The line that bothered me the most from that movie was the boy that said "I'm glad Galileo gave up science for Christ" AAAAAAAKKK!!! That's torturous! I can not believe the indoctrination of these poor children. It truly makes me sad inside.

That "language" that they were speaking is called "tongues" and it's not so much a language as it is an expression. Apparently, when your mind is hovering between our world and the world of Christ you babble on like that without any conscious knowledge of what you're saying. As far as I know it's total BS, but whatever. I whole-heatedly believe that it is a cult.

They are crazy, they are the evangelical "Christians"....and yeah, I'm a Christian but they freak me out too.

Brainwashed? maybe them, but I wasn't brainwashed when I started believing.

It is not a language lol, just gibberish.

and according to dictionary.com a cult is "a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies." so wouldn't all religion be a "cult"?

Certain religious sects or cults are obsessed with converting people and brainwashing their children with their doctrines.

They do this because they are insecure. They cannot be content with their own beliefs, they have to have their beliefs validated by getting more people to believe the way they do.

It's pretty disgusting. Those poor kids were pushed into that. Worse, a certain preacher was living a lie instead of being honest about his personal life, and using his prestige to influence others in a deceptive way.

The one thing that struck me the most about that documentary was how often the children were CRYING... out of FEAR... I saw it as a form of EMOTIONAL ABUSE. I also saw a TON of hypocrisy in it - they claimed they weren't political, but showed a cardboard cut out of George Bush, showed them protesting in Washington, D.C, etc. What you saw is the fundaMENTALists - not all Christians are like this, but unfortunately SOME of them are - scary, isn't it?

I did not see the movie so I will not comment much about it other than to say I would be careful about condemning speaking in tongues, it is a language given by God and when people start condemning it they are walking a fine line of condemning themselves.
Considering it is a movie, there is a likelihood that the makers of the movie were biased in the first place.

That movie scared the snot out of me. When I was younger, we had church camps & get-togethers, but they were more focused on having fun. This is a freaking boot camp.

It totally disgusts me. The gibberish is supposedly 'tongues'. LMAO!!!

The parents of those kids should be arrested for child abuse.
