I was looking in my C: to find program files and I see about 20 or so folders I have never seen before.
They are files that are similiar to this:
Example: 0cd132c698b9ga1f8ad42a5fd2
The folder contains a text document which contains alot of rubbish and I see my name appear once or twice,
What does this mean? Is it a virus?
I share a router with my room mate and I am wireless and they are wired. Does this have anything to do with it?

Everytime your windows gets updated it creates temporary files and regular files on your hard drive. The files and folders left over with those wierd numbers with text documents, are usually deleted automatically but alot of the time its not. So its safe to delete them.

It doesnt take up space as much but it just adds more folders which can get annoying to some. I dont delete them.

A lot of times those are folders\files generated by installing an update off of Windows Update. You user account name would be in those files.

Those folders are left from registry backups that some programs do and when windows makes those System Restore Backups. You can clear everything but the most recent one using System restore(i think?).

Those folders are remnants of previous updates performed by your OS (most likely windows).

So don't worry, they're not viruses or anything. Just let them there, you never know when your system could use them.
