Being Athiest isn't a religion. So, why in the world are you here. You go around disrespecting peoples beliefs for no inter reason.
If we meaning me && others want to worship God shall be it. If you want to not believe in him && think different. Then shall be it. But, don't come disrespecting people. Its wrong && We don't deserve any of your disrespect.

I agree that people do not deserve any disrespect. It can be very frustrating to be chastised, hated upon for our (as in everyone here) practices.

But, they intern are atheist and have thoughts about religion. They oppose all religions and are here to voice it as such. They are a godless people with no soul. And they feel they have poignant knowledge as we all do when dealing with religion and spirituality.

Just hang in and think that because of their thoughts they are actually helping assist others in the walk of God making the faith one feels stronger.

They also feel persecuted for what they feel or believe(some in the Atheist community do not like using this word so sorry it is for mere explanation). But they believe in nothing of God. So why do they get so upset. No one likes to be chastise, ranted against, or convicted because of what they feel. It is a sad thing that happens., It is human nature to be argumentative.

I agree when expressing the feelings of ones self it can be done with more sensitivity to others thoughts and questions.

We are here to answer questions, and furthermore not all Atheists disrespect other religions. And if you take out the time to look yourself instead of generalizing and talking out your butt then you will see that a lot of atheists are asked questions by religion groups or even targeted by hateful questions from some of the users on here. So stop asking stupid questions.

EDIT - I'll give you a perfect example, liveforjesus answered your question and said without hesitation that Atheists have no souls. Now do you see what we're talking about? I read the answers to your question and not one Atheist disrespected you, but we're being called soulless and jealous? Thou shalt not judge lest ye be judge right? Some of u Christians on here can't even follow your own bible. What a shame, how can you "save" us so-called fools when the ones doing the saving are fools themselves?

Some people just like to be abusive - they're not particularly atheist, they just like to offend.

I'm very much anti-religious and most people would describe me as an atheist ( though I absolutely believe in life after death and much more besides). I usually post on these kind of forums because it's stimulating to get a bit of debate and conversation going.

What you're suggesting is for Atheists to stay away and let the holies bash us in every way that they can come up with.
If you read many of the questions here, you'll come across some of the most insulting statements made about Atheists imaginable.
Do you approve of that ? If you don't, what's your suggestion ?
You mention that you don't deserve disrespect. Do you think that Atheists do ?

indeed, atheism is not a religion. But it is an attitude towards religious ideas. Also, some atheists are members of religions (not all religions are theist you know). And yes, your beliefs deserve just as much disrespect as everyone else's. If a conviction cannot stand mockery it's not much of a conviction.

It's not about disrespecting anyone's religion--it's about standing up to religion disrespecting us.

Religion is holding up valuble research on embryonic stem cells--research that holds promise for saving millions of lives and finding cures for hundreds of diseases. The research is to be preformed on discarded embryos from fertility clinics, so the holier-than-thous aren't protecting a damned thing. Sadly, their stance IS killing many.

Christian fundies added the words "Under God" into the United States Pledge of Allegience in 1952, against the wishes of the original author's families. Now, despite a constitutional amendment which guarantees every citizen the right of freedom from religious persecution, even a child who worships Allah has to say that "under God" crap. They also have to look at money that declares: "In God we trust." Too bad America wasn't founded as a theocrisy, as most Christians seem to believe.

The Crusades. The Thirty Years' War. The Inquisition. The Holocaust. 9/11. Enough's enough!

How is it that many states prohibit the sale of alcohol on Sunday? Oh, yeah: It's because of someone else's beliefs.

How is it that Atheists can't join the Boy Scouts? Right again! Someone else's religious beliefs.

Who's responsible for most of the outright lies about Atheism and the Atheists themselves? Look no further than your closest religious fanatic.

Why can't homosexuals declare lifelong love for one another under the eyes of the law in some states? Once again, because some Bible thumpers thought it's a great idea to smear all of us with religious feces.

To qoute one of my favorite movies: "They drew first blood, not me."

I didn't notice any membership requirements at the door, and the last time I checked, the forum was still called "Religion & Spirituality". I do not see any hard-and-fast conditions or limitations about who can or cannot post comments here, so Yahoo seems to welcome anybody here. Besides that, I rather enjoy reading the stories about Kirk Cameron and the banana.

Because atheism is a religion (a religion is defined as a belief system-as opposed to science which are based in fact) It is an atheists "belief" that their is no god, and this is exactly where they should be, because we live in a world where we have freedom of speech, and hopefully very little censorship
