My boyfriend of 6 years moved out 3 weeks ago and left me for another female. I want all of his stuff gone since he has made it clear he wants nothing to do with me anymore. He has gotten about 85% of his stuff out but there's still stuff in my basement taken up space, in my shed, and on my lawn outside in the backyard. I have told him to get it but I feel he is taking his sweet time, he has the time to do it as he just had a week off from work and was in the area and spends alot of time with the new *****. I was thinking of telling him if it's not all out by a certain date I will start bringing stuff to the dump. What is a sufficient time I should allow for this stuff to be here?

If i were you i would call him tell him he has by a certain date to pick it all up. I'd also tell him if he doesn't do it or doesn't get everything by that date. You can take it out the front for passersby to collect because if he didnt get it he musn't want it. What evers left can go to the goodwill.
That way you wont have to see his face or his stuff again and can move on.

I would have to say 3 to 5 days. I wouldn't put the stuff in the trash. I probably donate the stuff to the salvation army or something like that.

Give it a week and if he still doesn't come to get it, advise them that you are getting rid of it. Throw out the trash, just like him.
