I am 18 years old. When I was 13 years old I had an eye test and the doctor said that my right eye is lazy and I wouldn't be able to see well even with the help of the eye glasses because my right eye hasn't grown well. Is there any help. I have no hope. However I can see well if I open both of my eyes. But with my right eye alone, the image would be so blurry....

If an eye doctoer told you it would always be a little weaker, what answers are you looking for from us?

His is as professional an opinion as you are going to get.

I got a lazy eye too. For last 21 years. Wear contacts and my perscriptions for my 2 eyes are just different. See fine for the most part. I just deal with it. No quick fix solution.

The first photo is actually more useful. The reflections in the corneas are very symmetrically placed, which they would not be with a significant squint (turn, strabismus) There may be a degree of facial asymmetry, which almost everyone has, but that isn't a lazy eye either. A lazy eye, *which is undetectable to observation* if it is the only problem present, has the formal name amblyopia and is, and is only poor vision due to a lack of development in the eye when young, which does not immediately correct with spectacles.

My left eye is stronger then my right eye as well. With glasses, my vision in my left eye is perfect, but in the right eye it's still blurry. But my left eye takes more of the weight, and helps me see fine.

This is pretty much pernament and is really a little problem, unless your eye is so lazy that it is really noticeable.

There are options to correct this though:

Laser eye surgery. It's a operation that makes your eyes so 20/20 without glasses. Haven't really looked into it.

The Patch. You put a patch over your left eye, which makes your right eye work harder, therefore getting strength to see better. When I was little my doctor told me to do this, but I hated it and never did it. Now I'm older and still with a lazy right eye, but I'm healthy.

I would talk to your doctor about the patch and if it will still work at your age.

That's known as Amblyopia. The earlier it's treated the better! I'm surprised the doctor didn't start you on a treatment course the minute you were diagnosed! The lazy eye can eventually atrophy and go blind if not treated properly.

There are several ways to treat it. Glasses, eye excercises, patching the non-lazy eye, and if those fail, surgery. I'd get to an opthomoligist immediately!

Unfortunately, lazy eye needs to be treated before the age of six, you might get some improvement up to age 12 but it is too late now for eye patching etc to help.

LASIK is a substitute for glasses, if glasses don't help then LASIK won't help either.

You see well with both eyes so that is good. Be sure to protect your good eye by weaing safety glasses and protective sports goggles when working or playing sports.

Ask your doctor bout patching your stronger eye for a while. This would sort of exercise your weaker eye and therefore strengthen it. Good luck.
