God does not interfere with free will, if there are those who have been tempted and destroyed by the devil, he will sure change them and bring them into the light, but if there are those who even deny God to seek their devious carnal pleasures, those are just destroying themselves.
There are people who say: according to Sigmund Freud religious people are indoctrinated and programmed to act and believe. But the same can be said about those indoctrinated into the world society, which actually promotes and support wrong behavior, to a point that they even speak about "The Gay community" allowing them rights and publicity, but the do nothing to value or speak about a "Disabled people community". or to give them more rights, and more help.
They do not speak of a "Homeless community", "The indian community" of which little is heard about.
So by showing love for what is wrong to eyes of God they are trying to cover up the unjustices committed against the poor, disable and oppressed.
Homosexuality should have been a private personal problem for some people to handle themselves acccording to their faith and awareness of God's presence in their lives. But istead it is widely accepted and promoted the same as divorce, premarital sex, drugs, etc. in television, events, schools, and even congress.
I believe that those who defend homosexuality, do not spend at least minimal of their time to think and sorrow for those who are disabled, poor or homeless.

The only answer I can give you is the one
that God gives in His Word:
After the rebellion of Satan and a great war that followed, God decreed that he would bring in the flesh age, where each soul would come thru one time, born of woman, to make a choice of who they would follow:
Satan or Christ.
His main reason for doing this was because some of our people followed Satan in that war, and many others didn't do anything -they stayed neutral in it.
There was another group who did stay loyally on Gods side, and Satan was defeated.
Anyway, God was not only mad at those who followed Satan, but he was not all too happy with those who stayed neutral, either.
So the whole bunch of us gets to be here in the flesh to make the choice - everyone
except Gods Elect, who had already made their choice when they stayed on Gods side.
The Elect have a different purpose here, which I won't go into, since its off the subject.
(Both Books of Peter are written to the Elect).
To make this plan of choice work, it was necessary that two things held true:
First, there isn't much use in being able to choose between good and good, so we needed a comparitor: Thats why, although Satan was condemned to perish, he is still around: God is using him for this flesh age as our comparitor.
Second, AND THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION,
Each soul must have the freewill to make decisions WITHOUT THE INTERFERENCE OF GOD IN THE INDIVIDUAL LIFE. God made that promise to us, and said he would never repent of it (meaning he will not change His mind, He will NOT interfere).
According to Scripture, that is why you don't see God stopping a child rapist or a murderer, or someone who is about to ram a plane into a building.
Just as a finishing note, God says He has the actions and words of every living soul bound in his book, and everyone will be getting exactly what they have coming. Either reward or punishment, its coming.
He also states that as he watches daily, His anger grows and grows, and is being kept in a large-mouth vial; it will be poured out on all those who are the enemies of God, and the enemies of Gods Children. Boy, are they ever gonna get it............

Wow. And people think Islamic extremists are bad. Just looking at some of the insane Christian fanatics who have posted here makes them look like saints.
First of all, I love how these so-called Christians don't even know their fundamental rules -- the Ten Commandments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from my reading and analysis of these commandments, nowhere does it ever mention homosexuality.
Second, your basis of "fact" is a book written by people who thought the Earth was flat and the center of the universe, and anyone who dared to consider scientific answers was evil, questioning the design of God, in league with Satan, and should be put to death.
People who said if you don't believe in our God you're going to burn in hell forever. We're going to torture and ridicule you until you accept him. But he does preach love and tolerance!
Wow. Talk about credibility. They can't even interpret and understand their own guiding principles.
To answer your question, it is the stupidity of man which has labelled homosexuality a sin. Psychotic fanatics like Jerry Falwell and company. God has nothing to do with it. While I may not agree with homosexuality myself, it is neither wrong nor a "sin". It is just not within the biological design of humans to allow for procreation. Nothing evil about that.
Religious whackos need to start focusing on productive matters -- not who has sex and how they do it.

It isn't about why doesn't he stop them. It's about why they are born in the first place. There have been homosexuals since the beginning of recorded history and obviously before.
So if God created everything then, if he didn't want them why did he create them?
And don't tell me they are just result of "original sin" or that they are "not" born that way it's they choice. As it has already been proven it is genetic.
If it was as a result of original sin we would all be homosexuals as by Christian def we all carry original sin.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. There just isn't any explanation that anyone can give. All these people that tell you to look in the bible don't know themselves. They've probably never even read past genesis, if they even read that. The bible is too contradictive of itself to try to get a straight answer out of it. The only logical conclusion is that there is no god or if he does exist he is either a cruel bastard or he is not pwerful enough to worry about.
*jack_brown_1980, Damn dude, not only did you hit the nail on the head, you bashed it through the freakin board.

Maybe it's because he knows we could never be as holy and righteous as the repentant followers of his son (or so we've been told). Speaking of sexual issues, I wonder why God didn't stop these evangelical ministers from their sins, especially when these repentant leaders should have known better:

Why does he need to do that? He's already given us the most comprehensive reliable book in the world that is really clear on this point. If they won't listen to that, what makes you think they'd listen to him if he appeared right before their eyes?
Most people know this deep down in their souls anyway - they don't need to be told. They just don't want to listen.
God made people specifically the way they are on purpose with strengths, weaknesses, talents, circumstances, etc. I believe being attracted to the same sex is a weakness, but acting on it is a sin - just like wanting to eat all the time is a weakness, but it's only when you abuse your body with food that it becomes a sin.

God gives us free will. He gives us a choice to go down his path or another. He will not twist your arm or force you to do anything. You will just be held accountable for your actions one day. It is clearly stated in the bible.

Yes that will happen, but
2Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

GOD is not against people, HE is against sin. HE is for people, That's why HE sent HIS only begotten SON (The LIVING WORD) to take the punishment we deserve in being crucified on the cross for our sins. And gave us The Bible (The book of instructions to a life of pleasing GOD. GOD does not want robots, HE wants us to love HIM because HE first loved us by sending HIS only begotten SON to take our punishment. JESUS is The TRUTH, the WAY and the LIFE. If you want to know the TRUTH don't ask man, ask GOD. Read the Bible and know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will make you free.
