I just got my tongue pierced a week ago and something yellow comes out of it. But just a little. It's purulent. Is it normal?
What should I d with it if it isn't?

I've had two tongue piercings and that never happened to me. It sounds like you have an infection. You need to get some mouthwash and swish it around five to six times a day and ALWAYS after you eat. Also, I would suggest getting a new toothbrush specifically for brushing your tongue ring...use baking soda toothpaste. Within a week, you should notice a difference. If you don't, contact your piercer.

I've had mine pierced for almost 2 years now. When I first got mine it did the same thing. I used the yellowish Listerine to rinse my mouth out with every time I ate, drank anything, and smoked. It will eventually stop. Just keep rinsing your mouth out with Listerine.

Body piercing is un-natural and should be avoided. Sounds like you have an infection. My advice is to remove the metal and see a doctor.
