Absolutly there are many many other ways to work the adominal muscles. The same thing happened to me I can do 500 crunches and not the feel the burn.

Lie on your back positioned so your head is aiming at a secure bar. Grip the bar with your hands and lift your legs toward your face. Keep your legs straight and do 12 reps.

If you're looking for a challenge, try the plank

Get into a pushup position, then lower yourself onto your elbows so that your forearms are on the ground.
Hold for as long as you can... most effective ab exercise there is. Works upper and lower abs and burns... a lot

You can do leg lifts, with knees bent or straight; You can grab a rope from overhead, attached to a bungee or to a weight on a pulley and pull down while you are on your knees; You can lie on your back and hold your legs out straight, with your heels 2 in off the ground; You can do deadlifts to work your abs as a side benefit; You can lie face up on a bench, hold the bench behind your head and lift your legs up (like Rocky)
