Most likely as the others have said, it is either the head gasket or heads. I have had a problem where it was the intake manifold gasket and it was spewing water out of the carburetor like a gusher. When I shut the engine off, I had water in a couple of cylinders.

your blew the headgasket.the only way to check them is to take them off and have the heads resurfaced or you can get some other heads put on . the 302 heads will fit the 351 perfectly. water out the tailpipe is a dead giveaway of blown head gaskets

The thermostat likely froze up that caused the problem. When the head gasket blows water will mix with oil and under the oil fill cap it will turn milky white if its blown. Good Luck and GOD Bless

Your SOL bud unless you plan on new heads they should be checked out by a machinest, especially if they are aluminium. besides haveing them magna-fluxed you will want to make sure they are not warped. But look at it this way now you have a good excuse to upgrade your heads. I recomend the ford GT-40 head inexpensive yet good flow.

sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked head for sure. when you dismantle the engine pay close attention to the head gasket you usually can see where it is blown even still you should have the head magnafluxed to check for cracks
