Ticket to Heaven 777

Think you already have a ticket to heaven tucked in your pocket? After all, you’re a good person whose good deeds outweigh your bad, right? Some believe saying a prayer or being baptized is their ticket to heaven. You don’t want to be wrong about eternity, so here’s how to know if you’re good enough for heaven: “There is none who does good, no, not one” (Rom. 3:12). God’s standard of goodness is perfection - in thought, word, and deed - so none of us can make it on our own. Even one sin will keep us from heaven. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:5). In His mercy, God made a way for us to be forgiven. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross to pay the penalty for your sins, then He rose from the dead. You must repent (turn from your sins) and trust in Him alone to save you. Only Jesus is the ticket to heaven. It’s your choice. Ticket to heaven? Or, ticket to hell?

Ticket to Hell 666

Only really evil people like murderers get a ticket to hell, right? Here’s how a holy God defines evil: “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15). Ever hated anyone? Ever told a lie? “All liars will have their part in the lake of fire.” (Rev. 21:8). Ever looked at someone with lust? Jesus said looking with lust is committing adultery in your heart (Matt. 5:28). Ever stolen anything? No adulterer or thief will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9,10). Ever used God’s name in vain? That’s called blasphemy. God will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain (Exodus 20:7). Because God is holy, He must punish all who sin, and His place of punishment is hell for all eternity. If you’ve done even one of these things, you currently are holding a ticket to hell. But God, in His mercy, has made a way for you to be forgiven. He offers you a ticket to heaven. It’s your choice. Ticket to heaven? Or, ticket to hell?

Well you asked a very loaded question... I believe that there is a higher power and that my life on earth dictates what type of after life I will receive. I think the Bible can be seen in many ways due to the fact it was written by man, and man will always have personal views/opinions and some even a political agenda. Like I said its a loaded question and I could go on forever. But I'm not, I believe that I will have a good after life due to my nature and the life I lead, honesty with myself and others and having the courage to change the things that I feel do not contribute to a better life now and in the after. In other words faith in the fact there is a reason to be a good person and lead not just a life but a life that makes a positive impact, maybe just to one person but if that one person can take that and help one other person and so on a so forth... Like I said what ever kind of life I lead on this earth will be the deciding factor in my spiritual home, and I believe this to be true to all man/woman kind....

I had a ticket to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and I used it yesterday.

I have a Get Out of Hell Free Card and I intend to use it when I die. Not that I'll need it, but it'll look cool imbedded in the headstone.

I don't need a ticket, God will decide what flight to put me on when the time comes. Although I highly doubt this Hell exists.

Did the Apostle Paul Expect to Go to Heaven?
"For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you" (Philippians 1:23-24).
Is Paul saying in these verses that he wants to depart from earth and be with Christ in heaven? What did he mean when he expressed his desire to be with Christ?
Before focusing on what this scripture says, let's notice what it does not say. It does not say when or where Paul would be with Christ if he departed. Nor is there any reference to heaven in these verses. To conclude otherwise is to read assumptions into Paul's words.
When writing to the Philippians, Paul was struggling with two desires. He wanted to depart this life and be with Christ, but he also wanted to remain with God's people. In his second letter to Timothy he speaks dogmatically; he knows the end of his physical life is near, and he is ready to depart: "For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing" (2Timothy 4:6-8).
Here we learn what Paul means by being "with Christ." He understood that he was not to receive his reward immediately at death. Instead, there was laid up for him
a crown of righteousness that he would be given "on that Day" of Christ's appearing, at Jesus' second coming. As Paul noted, Jesus will bring Paul's reward with Him. Paul will receive it at that time, not before, along with all others who will be resurrected at Christ's return.
"Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him" (Isaiah 40:10; see also Revelation 22:12).
Paul explained to the Corinthians: "Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
Paul knew he would receive his reward at Christ's coming: "For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad" (2 Corinthians 5:10).
The time from Paul's death until his resurrection will seem to him but a mere moment. He will be with Christ and will be a glorified son of God in the next moment of his consciousness. No wonder Paul, weary of his sufferings in this life, desired to depart and be with Christ.

You lost me after the first "ticket" when I realised you were surmonising rather than asking a question.

I'd buy a ticket to anywhere that you're not going to be.
