Not at all- there will always be people who take advantage of their position to hurt or abuse others-church is no exception. I believe God gave us free will and we make our own choices, though we will be held responsible for those choices, if not on this Earth, then in the afterlife

No, it hasn't. I look at it this way: Every church has a minister, preacher, pastor, whatever. While human's strive to live as God intended, they are still human. Human's make the mistakes, we all do. It doesn't take away from what's being taught.
