Cabbage With Chicken Broth

I personally don't like boiled cabbage because it always turns out mushy. Here's a better way to cook it. Cut your cabbage into thin strips or shred it and place in a large skillet with a few tablespoons of melted butter. Turn the cabbage in the pan to coat and add plenty of salt and pepper to season it. Add in 1/4 cup water and cover and let the cabbage steam for about 15-20 minutes. Check for desired doneness/tenderness and enjoy!

I love to make cabbage on the grill this time of year - you can also bake in the oven if not grilling. Take 1 medium head of cabbage, remove outer leaves & core. Into center of cavity, place a couple of cubes of garlic minced, 1/2 boullion cube - beef or chicken & 1/2 stick of butter. Seal in foil & place on grill over medium coals for about 30 minutes, turning every so often. If fixing in the oven, place foil wrapped cabbage in a baking pan & cook @ 350 for about 20 - 30 minutes......So good, it will melt in your mouth!!

I have boiled cabbage with corned beef, potatoes, and onions and that is very good. The cabbage tastes great with butter and salt.

Another way is to bake it in the oven wrapped in aluminum foil for almost an hour. Cut into smaller pieces then wrap in foil with butter, salt and pepper. This is simple and tastes great!

Amsterdam Mashed Potatoes with Sauerkraut Recipe

Ingredients
6 medium-sized potatoes (about 2 pounds), peeled and halved
1-1/2 tsp salt
5 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream, approximately
1 medium-sized onion, minced
1 (1-pound) can sauerkraut, well drained
1 cup water
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
Cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender with the 1-1/2 teaspoons salt added. Drain well, return to heat, and dry well, being careful not to burn. Put the potatoes through a ricer into a bowl. Beat in 3 tablespoons butter and enough of the cream to make the potatoes creamy and fluffy.

In a saucepan, over medium heat, melt the remaining butter and cook the onion until soft. Do not brown. Blend in the sauerkraut and water. Cover and simmer 35 minutes, stirring occasionally so the sauerkraut doesn't burn, adding small amounts of water if necessary. When all the water has cooked off and the sauerkraut is tender, blend it well with the mashed potatoes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve the potato-kraut very hot.

Yield: 6 servings

Slice cabbage very thin, slice onion and garlic, saute' everything in dutch oven or wok (room to flip is needed) using extra virgin olive oil. Add a dash curry powder, 1/4 teaspoon each-thyme, marjoram and savory and some dill seeds (1/4 teaspoon or so)...cook until al dente'. Salt and pepper!

It's impossible to make cabbage, but you can cook it using several methods. I'm not really sure what your cultural tastes are like, but I'll list a couple options below:
1.)You can use smoked turkey wings to season the cabbage, by boiling it for at least one hour, prior to placing the cut wedges in the pot.
2.)You can stir fry the cabbage with about 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil. I normally put green peppers and onions in it for taste. It only takes a few minutes and it tastes great.

They both are Just the thing for your health. If you eat both, you're better off. But yea, I'd personally choose fruits because they taste better.

It will depend on the fruit or veggie involved with a comparison. In the event that you compare a farrenheit to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. When you compare an avocado to the carrot, then your avocado is better. Equally the apple and avocado, are fruits.
