dill is a herb used in cooking and probably doesnt count.
Dandelions are used as a vegetable by boiling in salted water until tender and then seved up with your meat meal.
They can be used in stews after a good washover and they can be used to make very nice dandelion wine too

Yes, It's called Daikon. It's a radish that's very popular among the Asian community. When I was a kid in Hawai'i, we used to eat jars of the stuff. Goes well with Kirin beer. =)
