Ah, words,
and the highways of the thinking mind,
they twist and turn with meanings rare
down mental alleys that end blind.
Thinking words create self's meaning
and each will speak as if they also have a soul.
But too answer is there more than one,
creates an abysmal whole
where there is naught,
but thought.

Great question, but I had to resort to poetry to come anywhere close to putting pen to this one.

some similarities do no longer advise that those texts are comparable. The gurubani glorifies omkar. however the quran is tatally diverse. The Vedas says Vasudheiva kutumbakam the full worldwide is a family contributors and sarva aashaa mama mitram bhavantu it is in all instructions /quartrers all are my acquaintances. The quran says do no longer make acquaintances with the jews and the christians an kill the infidels. subsequently do no longer settle for blindly that each and anybody books are god given.

I would suggest that the theory is based on the one soul of the assumed God being split into many parts, amongst humankind. the truth of oneness suggested is for all to be reunited as one and in said God.

The soul would eventually give up its uniqueness, not by force, but by voluntary submission to his true self. The self, the big "I", the one, where all souls path lead to it. This is where we are all the same, the "I", the truth, the so called oneness.

Just my opinion. :-)

The fingers on my hand are each different, individual, yet one; they are still part of my hand. "Soul" is a controversial word...I think it is the connective agent (words again), the stuff that helps us remember that we are one; the individualized portion of All That Is, perhaps the part of us that uses consciousness, and is thus free to discover its true nature, to explore itself as if it were separate, but all the while remaining immutably one with "God".

Things work on multiple levels

in one realm all things are one or oneness

in another all things are dual

the dual realm is an integrated part of the one, they are as pieces in a puzzle that make one picture.

We are all individualizes sparks of one Light, One Source. Think of it as if we were all individual photons all together making up one beam of light from one source.

We reflect and refract off different things at different points but always return to the same source.
