Ok, well, I am only 13. Starting about the beginning of the summer, I felt this sharp pain in my heart. However, it is developing on both sides. So, I am thinking it is my lungs, and not my heart. I am a very athletic girl. I weigh 104 lb's, am thin, tall, and do alot of sports like track, cross country, and basketball. When I breath VERY deeply, I get this pain in the area of my heart. But sometimes, it just hurt s a little bit on th right side of my chest. And once or twice this summer, when I was laying down on my back, I had this REALLY painful sharp pain that lasted for like 30 seconds. What could be wrong? Will I need to got o the doctor? I am very worried, and I don't want to die young.

its best to get a checkup with your medical doctor. This could be muscle strain or something else. The only way you're really going to know is seeing your medical doctor. That way you won't have to worry about dying young.

I would suggest you see your doctor on this one. When you say that the pain started in your heart does not indicated an attack or MI Myocardial Infarction. I would say rough guess that your problem (Being athletic) is musculo skeletal (Muscle pain or bone problem) Dont worry just take yourself to the local doc for an MRI scan or an Xray I am sure that you are ok. It might also just be growing pains.
If it was a heart attack the symptoms are very obvious and you would not be sitting writing an email about it. Are there any other symptoms like wheezeness or a persisent cough?

I might propose you notice your health practitioner in this one. When you are saying that the ache began to your middle does no longer indicated an assault or MI Myocardial Infarction. I might say tough wager that your predicament (Being athletic) is musculo skeletal (Muscle ache or bone predicament) Dont fear simply take your self to the neighborhood document for an MRI test or an Xray I am definite that you're adequate. It would additionally simply be developing pains. If it used to be a middle assault the indications are very noticeable and also you might no longer be sitting writing an electronic mail approximately it. Are there every other signs like wheezeness or a persisent cough?

I just went to the doctor for a similiar situation. First... think about where it is happening. Where you think its your heart it is probably your sternum (big bone in the center of your chest). My doctor told me that the tissue that connects your rib to it gets inflamed, and so when you try to breathe hard it hurts. Apparantly there is also another connection in the middle of the rib that gets inflamed too.

You probably have asthma as well and whenever you have asthma this will act up.I was paranoid i was having heart problems but it doesnt sound like it. Its actually a very common problem and it will mostly go away when you get the asthma under control

Good Luck!
